I love the trash talk myself with Sherman he knows exactly what he's doing i can read between the lines, but hey he doesnt just say it he also goes out and proves it to so how can u be upset at that if he's proven it as well.... somebody is going to be proven right and somebody is going to be wrong

Being talented doesn't give someone a pass on being rude, arrogant or classless.
I can be upset because people like him use their time in the spotlight self promoting and showing ugly arrogance.

Jason Witten is one of the best TE's to ever play the game. He doesn't go off on call the linebacker that failed to cover him mediocre nor does he go on national TV and tell everyone that he is the best TE in the NFL.

Stop condoning classless behavior.

The fact that Sherman respects Dez, speaks volumes. He will tell you when there is a sorry WR, and usually he is spot on.

Garcon(Who even Haden got into it with)
Roddy White(Hasn't been a factor)
Crabtree(What happened to this guy?)

You just named 3 talented men who have worked very hard to be at the level in their profession that they are. They deserve respect.

Sherman would be beaten by all 3 of those men if he didn't have the best safety combination and front 7 pass rush in the game.

This man fails to acknowledge that his success is dependant on 10 other men on the field with him. I'm sure he has some teammates that are sick of his antics already. They know that he is a blow hard who is benefiting from their hard work and drinking his own bath water way too often,

Whoa calm down. I don't know what sherman did to you, but you are letting whatever hate you have for the man blind you from the fact that he is top 3 in the game. Safeties or not. I did not see safety help when be knocked the ball away from Crabtree and tipped to a late arriving safety.

That is just 1 of the many great plays he has made by himself.

Well from what I can see and tell, Roddy White, and Garcon are both *****, who can have a slick mouth at times. Just like when White lauhed at Irvin, when he talked about Dez and Austin. Now look, Dez is miles ahead of his ***.

It's also no mystery that Garcon also got into it so heavy with haden, that every play haden made he felt the need to get up in Garcon's face, and stand over him.

I don't know about crabtree, I just know his experience's with Sherman, nobody else to give an example with. Anyways, obviously those other 2 maybe say slick ****, so it gets him going.

I don't doubt that these receivers may talk trash on the field. This is the way of the modern day NFL player. It's a form of gamesmanship. However this is not at all the same as talking bad about another player to the media knowing it will make headlines. The reason it makes headlines is because blasting another player is an act that is below most men in the NFL. They have a level of respect for each other that stops this from becoming the norm. Unless you are Sherman. Then you have no respect for anyone. You know Sherman doesn't even have enough respect for his teammates when he is so obnoxious promoting himself as the best player in the league.

Sherman plays a position that his success is greatly impacted by the other 10 guys on the field with him. This doesn't mean he would be garbage on another team. However I feel it's pretty safe to say that he wouldn't have the same level of success playing the last 3 years on the Cowboys defense. It helps a CB so much when you have a front 7 that dominates the other teams running game and puts on a consistent heavy pass rush.

Remember Revis when the jets had a strong defense? What happened to him once the defense fell apart?

These blowhard mouth piece types of players are not fun or entertaining to the masses. They are hurting their sport more than they are helping it by opening their mouths and reminding people why they should not be as emotionally invested in the NFL as they once were.

Crabtree and Sherman have a longstanding feud that spilled over past the football field. Stop trying to compare everyone to Jason Witten, because you don't have all of the information to make a valid response.

So please give us all the information one would need to make a "valid" response then.
Is it valid enough that he had to meet with his head coach and make an apology the day after he went off on crabtree?

http://www.sfgate.com/sports/article/NFL-notes-Sherman-apologizes-for-Crabtree-remarks-5160426.php

So what information would one need that would make what he did any less classless or arrogant? Did Crabtree blast his talent or ability on national tv?
Who else is being compared to Jason Witten? Whats so wrong with comparing another players antics to Jason Witten?

We live in a PC world, especially in the sports media world so of course he had to apologize, what does that prove?

Did Crabtree make the game winning catch to send his team to the Super Bowl over his rival Richard Sherman? What does Jason Witten have to do with Richard Sherman's feud with Michael Crabtree? You obviously have a personal vendetta against Richard Sherman for some reason which is crazy, because I doubt that you've even been as close as 1,000 miles near him in real life.

If he was right to say what he said then why would he need to apologize? What does it prove? Its pretty simple isn't it? If you have to say sorry for something you said then you shouldn't have said it. So you are saying that he was only apologizing because he was forced? Why was he forced? We do not live in a PC world anymore. Especially in sports or entertainment. We live in a shock media world where humble, respectful personalities are labeled as soft and weak.

Btw...part of his apology mentioned that he shouldn't have made that moment about himself and instead should have focused on the team.....hmmm.....sounds like Pete Carroll may have heard some of his teammates complaining about how he made the moment about him....or Pete Carroll feared it would make his teammates feel that way....

You should read my original post about another talented elite player (Jason Witten) and how he is humble and classy. It was an example to show that being the best doesn't justify arrogant self promoting...not just about the feud with Crabtree....

I couldn't possibly have a personal vendetta against Sherman. I have a problem with people attempting to justify classless actions by acting like its somehow not classless because he is a talented player. Pretty simple.

Bottom line is that when he acts this way it turns peoples stomachs. Many many people just wish he would shut his mouth. I remember how many people suddenly routed against Seattle in the super bowl mostly because they didn't want to watch this guy celebrate and grow even more obnoxious.

You are delusional if you don't think that we live in a PC world, and especially in the sports media world. He absolutely was forced to apologize just as every athlete is when outside sponsors start pressuring the team to make statements or apologies. Again, what does Jason Witten have to do with Richard Sherman and Michael Crabtree's feud? Everyone isn't Jason Witten, people have different personalities and if you don't like it, then stop watching sports. Who cares if it turns people's stomachs? No one can please everybody and everyone will have people who root against them for whatever reason. You've obviously made up this feud with Richard Sherman in your mind and you're never going to let it go. Pretty sad that you can have a beef with someone who doesn't even know that you exist.

Why would outside sponsors pressure the Seahawks to make an apology when Sherman acted like a fool on national tv? Do you think maybe just maybe it is because he acted like a fool?
Reading comprehension skills are not shining through here so I will say it just 1 more time for you...Jason Witten has nothing to do with Shermans feud with Crabtree (as I stated above), but Witten is a great example of how an elite HOF athlete doesn't have to self promote (watch the Sherman vs Skippy ESPN embarrassment for an example of Self Promotion).

What feud with Sherman did I make up in my mind again? I wrote this above (reading comprehension my friend)-----"I couldn't possibly have a personal vendetta against Sherman. I have a problem with people attempting to justify classless actions by acting like its somehow not classless because he is a talented player. Pretty simple"----- I guess I was wrong about the pretty simple part...

So let me make sure I am understanding your advice here.....If I don't like a player going off and making such a fool of himself on national tv that he was forced to apologize and say he was wrong for doing this than I have to stop watching sports now? So I cannot watch sports anymore unless I am ok with a guy blowing up and acting arrogant? Interesting...Well...thank you I guess.

I think Sherman is a very good player I also happen to think Dez will still get his over Sherman. If Dez can get a 1 on 1 matchup vs any CB I like his chances to make some big plays

LOL. what a charm offensive the Seahawks got going on.

Dez, don't fall for it. Sherman will cover you like a bookie covering the Seahawks chances of repeating at the super bowl.

So manys compliments for us. LOL

I started to respond to this, but what's the point, you're obviously not reading or maybe you are and you're just not comprehending very well. You've obviously made up in your mind that you're going to hate a guy that you've never met because of how you perceive him to be based on an altercation he had with another man that had nothing to do with you. I'll do us both a favor and put you on ignore.

You are probably too young to remember, but there was a time when athletes prided themselves on being humble (I know, sounds like double talk, but it was true) and being about the team. Brash is actually something relatively new in American athletics. Kind of started with the Joe Namath era stuff (there have always been exceptions, like Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, etc... but I'm talking what most characterizes an approach to athletics in any given era). So confidence is not the same as being brash. Confidence is not telling everyone how great you are. The most confident people in the world don't have to tell you, they just go do it and let you tell everyone afterward.

Yes I'm sure Muhammad Ali was humble lol

Good grief, talk about a ridiculous escalation.. I never said hate. Go read my other posts in this thread I've basically already answered that question.

But, in short, I don't believe he acts with emotion. Everything he says and does is calculated and superficial. I don't like anyone like that. I didn't say give him the chair.

I don't know about you but Tom Brady, Peyton Manning and all these players giving robotic answers to the media sounds like they're more calculated in their interviews.

Wrong. Sherman always includes his teammates in THEIR success.
