Richie Whitt: Might Michael Irvin's days at ESPN Radio be numbered?

IMO, Irvin needs to go back to FOX, where he got his start in TV/Radio.

I wouldn't mind him going to NFLN.

No, I believe the main reason he split with ESPN, was that ESPN didn't want him to do both Radio and TV, which Irvin wanted to do. So he won't go back to TV exclusively, which he says several times on his show.

The reason being, TV is short term segments and he can't expand or dwelve into topics like he can on Radio. Now he probably will never be No. 1 in his slot, since he doesn't have the Juvinile humor topics like Ticket has etc., but I think he has somewhat established himself. During Football season, I bet his ratings go high up and on par almost with Ticket.

Nate especially adds a lot of fun factor to the show without lot of sophomoric humor or Howard Stern wannabe humor.

rulez...

I'd love to have a back to back of Norm and Mike Fisher, like there was at one time in KLIF.

Norm and BaD Radio > Irvin

Yeah cause those guys are so far more entertaining and have so much more knowledge about the game.

So he made up the story about almost being robbed.

no, but because the he didn't report it to the cops people like you assume he made it up.

Actually they are far more entertaining; and as far as knowledgeable media members go, few can touch Norm.

You can't beat Norm and Bob as far as media people go.

Agreed, Norm is probably as good as it gets when it comes to Cowboys talk. I just wish he'd do it more often.

He won't contact them months after it happened. It gives people like me reasonable doubt that he made it up.

why does he need to report a robbery that never was?

months after the fact no less?

why assume the dude is a liar?

and I listened to the show the day he told he story, he didn't even seem like he wanted to tell it, kevin was pulling it out of him.

You read some reports, by a biased media, and rather than side with one of the greatest cowboys ever, you assume the media is right and mike is lying.

Sorry, that makes zero sense to me.

and let's play perry mason for a bit, mike probably drives that same road nearly everyday, and you want him to go the cops so to accomplish what? putting himself in danger of some retaliatory response from his would be robbers?

come on now.

that's not even mentioning that it's very likely that where mike is from, you don't snitch.
