Are you sure about that?

I was under the impression that they have no idea who it was.

Everytime I think "There's no way burmafrd can be THAT dense", you post something like that....and totally outdo yourself.

Leave PT out of this....

I would never dance in Vegas.

Question for Superpunk-- What exactly would be your definition of a PUNK if Pacman Jones does not meet that standard? I will save you some time because your reply will be "Well, what is yours?" Here it is. A blatant and repeated lack of respect and/or regard for the laws we all must live by. The sad part of this is Jones is just the tip of the iceburg, and you seem to be justifying his actions. (Wait a minute- SuperPUNK- the name explains alot)

I spent about three seconds trying to come up with some clever way to associate "Holloway" with "Doesn't know how to read."

then I gave up.

Let me know if you come up with something. I'm done explaining how criticizing others DOES NOT mean I support Jones. If people are too stupid to differentiate - it's not my problem.

Put it in your sig. That way, when these "people" come out of the woodwork, the work is all done. All you have to do is point to your sig and hope they have sufficient reading/comprehension skills.

Huh.

Yeah, on second thought.....you are right. Probably best to just give up.

it wasn't, but his actions that night brought the event to bear

Why don't we wait for all the facts come out first. I don't disagree with Pacman getting a 1 year suspension, but what if the shooter wasn't even with him? Do we still say this guy is paralyze cause of Pacman?

What do we say Jones doesn't come back after being ejected and the paralyzed guy is still able to pee by himself?

Someone should probably tell the military.:

I know you love to disagree with me, but you're not that dense are you?

I did say out in society, but even if I hadn't, you knew I did not mean the military in times of war.

I know you had to know that is what I meant and that I know there is a difference.

Pacman may be an idiot, but I think it is a stretch to say that he is responsible for this guy's unfortunate injuries. Unless I am missing part of the story, Pacman was trying to get his money back. He was stupid and immature to throw a bunch of money in the air and even more foolish to think that he was going to get any of it back. He acted like a child and had a tantrum when the club wouldn't return his money, but thats it. Now, if it turns out that Pac knew that someone that he was with was likely to pull a gun out, thats a different story. As far as I know, there is no evidence to suggest that. Someone correct me if I have the facts wrong, but I thought the police want him prosecuted because he could have reasonably expected to start a riot by 'making it rain'. I think thats BS, even though I find it amazingly stupid to do what Pacman did. Not enough to create criminal or even civil liability, but enough to warrant league punishment. Under the new comish, players will be punished for acting a da@% fool, not just for criminal acts. If they make the NFL look bad, they gotta sit. To put this guys injuries on Pacman (with the facts as I understand them) would be to extend criminal and civil liability to the level of league conduct rules. If any of us are with someone who does something stupid, we do not share in the liability or punishment just because we were with them. If we were players, the league may punish us, but other than that we are good.

Let's just hope that if Leonard Little is in a car that hits and kills someone again, he isn't the passenger. If he is, beware the wrath of Goodell and Rick Reilly!

I am not a big fan of the article at this point.

There's lots of accusations and harsh talk towards Pacman but no proof at all he had anything to do with the actual shooting.

This is also a pretty extreme 'version' of the story I have now seen 10 times or so.

My understanding is Pacman shows up with a ton of cash and starts pouring it over dancers. The manager then has a bouncer grab a trash bag and starts bagging up the money.... Pacman wasn't getting his tips back from dancers he was mightily ticked some strip club manager was gonna bag up his money and head out the door with it. THAT starts the fight.

If he had anything to do with shooting someone he needs a lifelong ban.

If you take money someone paid someone else; yes even in your employ, in their face that is fighting words. Thats not one-sided against Pacman on the fighting.

I think there was more than 1 person wrong here.

I think you make a good point here. I don't know who the last "Upstanding" Stip Club owner was but I do know that he would probably be amoung the very first. Having said that, unless this bouncer was the owner, I can't see where he can be held responsible for that course of action. In the end, the guy is still in a wheel chair and I think you'd have to conclude that had PacMan and his band of cronies had not initiated this whole sequents of events, the bouncer is probably still walking around today.

JMO of course

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Baltimore Ravens quarterback Steve McNair faces a July 10 court date on a driving under the influence charge.

The quarterback was not in court Wednesday when the new date was set in an agreement between prosecutors and lawyers.
"He wanted this resolved," said McNair's lawyer, Roger May.
Ryan said there is an offer to prosecutors to settle the case without going to court. He would not discuss the offer and said the district attorney wanted more time to consider it.
McNair, a former Tennessee Titan, was charged May 10 after his brother-in-law, Jamie Cartwright, was pulled over in Nashville driving McNair's pickup truck with McNair inside. Cartwright appeared briefly in court Wednesday.
Under Tennessee law, the owner of the vehicle can also be charged with DUI if he knowingly permits its operation by a driver under the influence.
McNair was also arrested on DUI charges in Nashville in May 2003, when he was also charged with illegal gun possession. After a year of legal wrangling, a judge dismissed those charges, ruling police didn't have sufficient reason to pull over McNair
