***Rip on Romo Thread***

Im gonna start this off by saying this isnt a hate thread. Take it over to the Rip Romo thread if thats what you want to do.

I am however going to start this off by saying its time to walk away from Romo.

Yes, he's exciting to watch when he's on his game, but so was Terrell Owens. And like Owens, Romo cant be counted on 100% of the time. There was always that chance Owens would put his foot in his mouth. Theres still that chance in every game Romo will do what he did today. You just never know what kind of game youre going to get from him. And its not like it just started happening, this has gone on since his first game.

Like people have said he's made his millions and made a name for himself. Let him build his numbers this yr. Stack em up, and build up his value. But when its said and done he should be traded. There would be plenty of bidders for him. Oakland, Minnesota, Seattle, Miami, Jakcsonville, Denver, Cleveland, SF would all jump at him. Teams that have done the drafting of young QBs and failed like Oakland IMO would be the ideal landing spot and would pay the price.

I could handle Romo's mistakes if he took accountability for them but the guy just shrugs it off. You can buy his sob PC's but its all for show. Quite obvious if you ask me. Im disgusted by how shrugs off everything like its rare he does things like today.

Theres a time when Jerry Jones is going to have to move on. Dallas is a young team now. They arent going anywhere. I doubt indy or any other team picking first will pass on Luck unless its a team like Atlanta with the top pick. IDK the status or the breakdown of what it would cost Dallas if he's released but im sure it would save Dallas money.

Rookie scale would also be good for Dallas.

Alot wont agree but i just think its Time to move on and do it with a rookie in 2012

Oh please.

According to Hostile 31 other teams lose like this all the time.

He's in complete denial about the trend that follows this team.
The Patriots last week, up 21 on the Bills, Tom Brady throws 4 INTs and the Bills win.

Pick a team any team. If you're going to attempt to call me out, at least be wise about it.

Wow 689 replies. I am usually a Romo apologist, but today, I can't do it. Those 3 picks just killed us. PERIOD. Now I will give him a slight break on the slant to Robinson, Robinson has to cross that defenders face or it will get picked.

But the other two picks were just brutally bad!! That loft over Carpenter, WOW, Barbie does nothing the 4 years he is here and viola, he looks all pro on that interception. I think he baited Romo into trying the lob pass. Romo has to get rid of that lob.

After all that, we are clinging to a 3 point lead and we have the ball, Romo has to be aware of the situation. Four minutes left and we have the ball, we get a couple of first downs and maybe seal the win. YOU CANNOT lob the ball over the middle of the field. I know he was under duress, but take a sack or lead Witten enough to wear he gets it or no ones else does!! Instead we give the Lions the ball on our side of the field and let them march right in.

AGONY!! Romo was brilliant for 32 minutes of the game. The last 28 was horrible. Now mind you because of the lack of the running game, we will not be able to sit on leads and pound it out. So I am not going to fault the play calling. Romo just has to make better decisions than that.

He cost us that game. Period.

I fault Garrett for trusting Romo. I fault Romo for, well, being Romo. The guy is an unbelievable QB. I don't mean that in a good way.

You act like he's 26 years old. He's 31, how much do you really think we could get for him and what are we going to do for a QB?

There was nothing wrong with the offensive line today until Romo gave the Lions the game. Dallas was starting to open up some good holes after Romo's first fiasco of a play, but then, he gave the ball away (again) in extremely tight coverage on that slant. Throw it away and punt or run the ball and live with the results. Nope. Romo has to keep forcing the issue, so he can throw 50 passes in the game. Romo gave a done Lions team hope and put them right back into the game. Romo erased all his good work and flipped the game on his own head. That is what is frustrating about this player. He had already done the hard work, but he doesn't know when to hold his cards tight to his vest. He just has to make that play, regardless of the situation of the game.

The rushing attempts that Dallas left on the field today, alone, most likely win the game. That should have been at least 40 rushing attempts. Long runs happen when teams get tired in the 4th quarter. You have to keep chipping away with the run. Instead, you get 47 pass attempts when you are up 24. There is no excuse for that. To blame the running game/offensive line for Romo's continuous poor decisions is ridiculous.

Please merge the Romo hate threads together?

thanks!

Great signature image. When will you add your week four picks?

Probably gonna watch the game again, I think Robinson will probably get my offensive player of the week vote, not sure on a defense, a lot to pick from.

Id love to see Tony Romo with a real offensive coordinator.

What good is a "real offensive coordinator" going to do? The only person that can keep Romo from making impulse decisions/throws is Tony Romo. Quite frankly, he is what he is. He, without a doubt, is his idol, Brett Favre, without the playoff success.

Sad reality, but where do we go? Rookie? I really don't think that would be too wise. We still have great players in their prime. Enough to make a serious run. Romo gives us our best chance. We are stuck with him, as depressing as that is to me.

Are you ready to write off the next 4 to 5 years? It will take that long to bring a rookie to the level necessary to compete - yes, even Luck. Then, we won't be so young anymore...

I'm disappointed but not really all that upset.

That's pretty much where I'm at right now. What's so stunning is how all this Good Tony/Bad Tony has been crammed into 4 games. First four games of the season and it feels like some crazy psycho-drama being played out. Has there ever been a four game stretch like this for a team and player? It's like every single example of talent and weakness has been distilled into one month of football. Absolutely crazy.

I thought before the season that this was a really crucial year for Romo, coming off an injury, getting older, with a team window that might or might not be closing soon. I still feel that way. He's got 12 games to go, and like others have said, there's not much to do this year than just play it out and see how he and the team and the coaches respond. I'm going to try to figure out how to just enjoy the ongoing drama and reserve judgement till the end of the season. If I don't have a conniption fit along the way...

You act like 31 is old for a qb. The guy hasnt had any serious injuries. He'd have alot of value.

I can honestly say I've always been a strong supporter of romo... unitl today this was absolutley ridiculous!
