Rob Ryan Fired per twitter ESPNDallas **merged**

This was all Jerry. Jerry spent all the money on the defense and Jerry felt the production wasn't their. It's a bottom line business.

Lets be honest... Garrett's offense got Wade fired as well.

Eh just another scapegoat. I did question Rob Ryan's defensive playcalling at times but what's the solution now?

I don't see Lovie Smith coming here so it might just be another Jerry Jones Glory Year Retread like Dave Wannstedt or Butch Davis

I'm sorry guys but I'm pissed. I don't understand Jerry's thinking. Garrett can't manage a game clock and ices his own kicker, let alone can't call plays but keeps his job and Rob Ryan gets fired for coaching guys off the street because of injuries?

Unbelievable!! :lmao2:

I'm a little taken back by rob Ryan firing but I'm not disappointed. I would love a whole new defense and new offensive coordinator.

I hope that Jerry is OK with Ciskowski's decision here, bold move on his part.

How the heck is DeCamilias still here if Ryan is gone?

:bang2:

I'm with you on this. Why is DeCamilias still a Cowboy? Also, why is Jason still a Head Coach? And finally why is Jerry still a GM?

This organization is a total joke now.

I am not a fan of his.. I liked his swagger but the team looked confused alot and for me he over thinks the game plan

The same thing happened after Sherman was fired. People freaked, then found out about Robinson, and were all like, 'Oh.'

Let's hear if we had a plan for an upgrade before we lose it? Or no?

That's a good point and Lovie's Bears D was all over taking the ball away.
This move really doesn't make sense unless they already have somebody lined up (or nearly so) and Lovie Smith fits the description nicely.

I hope you're right.

I'm with others that think the switch to the 4-3 is very doable. We'd be missing a couple pieces but I think we're missing those now anyway. You could argue we're a DE, NT and SOLB (considering Spencer is a FA) short right now. This way we could let Spencer walk (even though he played very well) given the money he will command in the open market.

#1) I don't like this move. Rob had passion coaching was better on his side of the ball.

#2) If Garrett doesn't get fired, he better be on a VERY short leash next year.

#3) Firing someone by cell phone, if true, is pretty pathetic.

Im upset because of the double standard in this organization.

Fire someone who has been here for not long, had to play a season with a bunch of bench players and keep someone who been here long enough and has constantly sucked.

If Rob got fired, Jason should have been also fired.

You mean the guy that had less then 11 guys on the field on 4 occasions? This team is a complete mess and JG is the captain.

Wait a minute. Earlier we read that the coach was at Valley Ranch and got fired and "blew up" and they still had him there talking him down, now we read that Garrett fired him by cell phone? Which is it? Personally I think the cell phone thing is exceptionally unlikely. No organization fires people by phone instead of face-to-face.

Both. If the players are pissed about it then there's a huge problem.

I'll Echo this.

JG should be fired as playcaller and OC. Of course there is not much left of him without that , but was willing to give him a chance at HC .

Scapegoats. Don't really care who on this forum gets mad. But its the truth. Yeah hes a cancer, hes a bum, hes broke, hes a dead beat dad. But one thing about Terrell Owens is that he always speaks the truth. And he said it about this team in 2008. This team looks for scapegoats like no other.

I'm thoroughly pissed at the Rob Ryan firing.

How dejected are you, exactly?

Or...this just means we are switching to the 4-3, which Ryan doesn't coach.
