Why would a respectable DC that is on the verge of becoming a head coach like Horton or one who wants another head coaching gig like Lovie take a job on the staff of a guy that could easily be in his last season as head coach?

Because they'd be first in line.

They must be worried about losing out on their preferred candidate to be the New DC.

If he was fired on the phone, then who "blew up" at Valley Ranch?

No hope that it's Garrett. Conflicting reports. One of them is either completely wrong or there is another coach gone.

I know.

Hey I got news for you and other AZ residents about an autograph signing with a Cowboys legend.

:eek:hboy:

cleaning house and starting all over would have been a better step and more logical.

Maybe because they are looking for a job and think Dallas has the personnel to help them continue to be in consideration for head coaching jobs, even the one in Dallas IF Garrett does end up being in his last season.

I remember last offseason, at the Senior Bowl, RR was quoted as saying "only looking at DB's." Well, we spent $75 million and our first two draft picks on DB's, and didn't get much. My guess is that Rob did in private what he often did in public - talked a lot without backing it up.

And seriously, Ryan's never had good defenses wherever he's gone. You can say he didn't have talent, and that's fair, but it's not like the guy is a future HOF'er.

Everybody getting steamrolled because of Garrett this is just pathetic.

Should of kept Ryan there with a different coach what a shame....
his only fault was failing to adjust on some games but his ability to create
a patchwork defense should count for something.
Again disgusted about this news.

I Hope Garrett doesnt sleep good tonite and also...
think the players aren't sensing this also that
Garrett is costing people their jobs? I hope its on
conscious.

Looks like Jerry is taking a page from Mack Brown and Texas. Scapegoat everyone, change assistants, change the strength and conditioning coach but....

How can someone have an issue with not having enough men on the field (or too many men) but not have an issue with calling a timeout to ice your own kicker or other terrible time management?

I don't care that Rob was fired but damn at least he showed some fire unlike our head coach who has no personality and shows no emotion.

Rob Ryan in Turks & Caicos and was fired on cell phone by Jason Garrett. "They want uncomfortable," Ryan said. "I'm comfortably numb."

Man, I remember all of the threads saying RR was overrated and that he is all talk, no bite...now everyone is pissed he got fired.

Figures...

If this ends up being the beginning of a house cleaning that ends with Garrett heading out the door then I can handle that.

I agree Garrett is THE biggest problem with this team besides jerry .
(and some of the players for that matter)

The same thing happened after Sherman was fired. People freaked, then found out about Robinson, and were all like, 'Oh.'

Let's hear if we had a plan for an upgrade before we lose it? Or no?

No. It was wrong and you know it. The wrong guy got fired and we will all find that out next year around this time apparently.

Lol on the analogy with Mack Brown

I figured it was him when the other thread was posted. His defense was a joke the whole time here, especially his playcalls and schemes. He's a loudmouth just like his twin brother but never has the results to back it up.
