Dez also went unsigned for most of the season. Everyone knew he was practically finished.
Well...Sean Payton didn't think so.

That is a possibility but Lawrence is a LE and Quinn is a RE. No reason why both can't be on the rosterMost everything is a possibility. Let's face it, it is more likely that the team is looking at Quinn as a replacement for Tank rather than adding him to the team with Tank on it. We already have Armstrong, Taco and if you count Tank that's 3 already without a draft pick. If you add Quinn that's 4. You can pretty much count on a draft pick being made at DE. So that would be 5, plus MAYBE Gregory (6).
That's probably not happening. Tank is likley to be traded. It's not certain, but it's likely. Some people just don't want to consider that as a possibility.
I think this if done has nothing to do with Lawrence but rather adding another passrusher opposite Lawrence. Would be a nice add. Wouldnt mind them trying to restructure a deal for 3 yrs while lowering his caphit. 5-7mil a yr closer to 7 would be a good sign for the team and quinn.Yeah, I don't agree. If the plan is to trade Lawrence, then Quinn is a no brainer. In that situation, you need pass rushers and if you can get one that doesn't cost you a draft pick at a bargin, that's a no brain deal. Not making a plan would be stupid.

Quinn is also one of the better DEs vs the run too. This would allow Crawford to stay inside at 3tech. On NLFN right now they just said Dallas is still with Quinn working on a trade. I think theyre gonna get this done with a restructure on adding yrs.I agree. I think Quinn, regardless of what you do with Lawrence is a smart move. I mean, he could end up falling off the table but I see no reason to suggest that this would be the case. I like the move if the numbers are right and the trade is not a fleecing.
And in my original post I said it was Marinelli who was a big voice in not taking him. I am not sure where your disagreement with this is. I never said the position coaches didn't like Watt. I said the scouts were big on him but Marinelli wanted no part of him and that's a big reason he wasn't drafted.

If it’s a 4th or later in 2020 that would be awesome.
Likely a third I would guess.

[/QUOTE]False assumption.
Agenda.
No support for this.
Wow! So many hypotheticals here, all in an effort to try to make Lawrence expendable when he isn't Reaching so far as to mention Gregory now. That's desperate!
Not likely at all. Some just WISH it were. Clearly.

The dolphins DL isnt anywhere near Dallas. Think Quinn would fit right in and give Dallas a double digit guy on the right side. This just shows you dont be fooled with all the first week of FA.I would not be surprised if this were the cast. We have not really had a real edge rusher here, since Marinelli has been DC but if you go back and look at Herm Edwards and Monte Kiffen's defense, they had that quick twitch edge rusher, Simeon Rice. They may see Quinn as that type of guy.
