Robert Saleh at the Star for in person interview today

All this talk of Saleh as the HC.....I'm not buying it. Think he's your defensive coordinator......@ best...With Kellen running the offense.
I can't even begin to tell you how much I hope you're wrong about that.

Ahh yeah, I'm aware. Not sure what's so funny. They did turn on him . It's well documented. Guess I'm mainly talking about the offensive players. He was able to keep the d relevant.
How so?

Link? Source?

He’s actually at the Star as we speak per Slater.

Jerry and Stephen working on the weekend now?! Lol
He is there in person but Jerry and Stephen are doing the interview virtually from the yacht.

If they hired Robert Salah, you can bet the offensive coordinator is going to be Brian Schottenheimer and you’ll see very little change to the philosophy and coaching staff.
Add Witten done
and you can bet im gonna throw my juicebox down and storm off..cause thats terrible.

Saleh : “So, the 49ers said they are willing to make me the highest paid defensive coordinator. Contract negotiations should be easy and start at $6 million per year. Looking forward to turning this ship around!”

Jerry looks over at Stephen dumbfounded

Cap Boy : “We like your resume and would love for you to come to the star! Here is our offer.”

Cap Boy slides paper napkin with offer over to Robert Saleh and Agent. Agent is nodding asking what’s it say

Saleh : “One year, incentive based deal? Be sure to … buy a shirt on the way out?

Saleh and agent laugh, crumble up napkin and fly immediately to SF and sign a deal making $6 million per read
Don't forget......adopted son Jason Garrett is in the back corner of the room clapping during the entire interview.

More than anything I want a new OL coach and not Brian Schottenheimer.

Jerry isn't stupid. He's just a combination of senile, delusional and desperate to find the cheat code rather than put in real GM work, of which he stinks at. He's lazy.

"I learned how to coach from being under Saleh," Ryans said. "He taught me a lot when it comes to scheme when it came to just handling players, game planning.”

Texans were 4th in defensive efficiency this season.

Jets were 2nd in defensive efficiency this season, until they fired Saleh.

Imagine being against this hire.

The more I think about this if I can’t get Aaron Glenn or Deion - for some reason, I think I would happier with Saleh and Schottenheimer over anything with Kellen Moore.
Not that I love anything about Saleh from his jet stay I’ve already stated I didn’t like the way he handled himself, but the man knows defense and we already have an offensive coordinator in position.

Eh...he had his shot was the Jets. Couldn't stand up to that dirtbag Aaron Rodgers...no way he could hack it with Jerry Jones. He's a DC, nothing more.

Let’s see who ends up making more money….Saleh as SF DC or the next Dallas HC.

Jerry’s goal seems to not be about getting the best coach, but who will work the cheapest….and the kid is way on board with that I’m sure.
There have been plenty of stories about Jerry paying for front office

McClay
Moore
Parcells
Garrett got 6 million a year
Zimmer got 4m last year

I have no doubts I could dig up more.

We dunk on Jerry for being cheap, but there are clear examples of when he’s paid for people who aren’t between the lines but he wants to attract or keep.

But, this being the Zone, the echo chamber message is that the Cowboys pull up to the Home Depot and hire day workers who will be the team’s Head Coach for $16 an hour.

Maybe McCarthys deal, that he agreed to, matched the results delivered? Shocker, I know.

I just wish we could have real football conversations here.

Yea, he was a giddy as a school girl on hard knocks about Rodgers. Expected them to get a room.
