Bijian won’t make it to 26, if he does you grab him. I’m good with Gibbs at 26 too. Round 2 DT.

2016 was an entire different team because of Zeke. Sorry some guys don't see the value in a guy who gets 20-30 touches a game especially with a mediocre QB
You guys seem to be saying we don‘t want a good back. That is not true at all. Bigsby is similar to Robinson except he will be around in the 3/4 round. Plus they have Pollard. Btw who are these guys getting 20-30 carries a game? Jacobs got more than 20 in 9 of the 17 games. So can you let me know who these guys are?

I've wanted Gibbs since his GT days.

He's a day 1 back that can run/catch and is a legit route runner for a RB. Not a simple safety valve back.

Would be a smidge redundant with Pollard here for his franchise tag year.
But Pollard coming off an injury and tagged for just one season makes a good transition for Gibbs. If Pollard won't deal, we wear him out they let him go. I think in Gibbs we are adding to our passing game as well.

I want Bijan, Miller from TCU or Izzy from Pitt. Those are the 3 of the best 5 RBs in this draft that would be good fits here in Dallas.

If I were king I would go Bigsby or McBride. First 2 picks would be DT and G.

Bijan ran all over Alabama.
I'm taking him over Gibbs with no hesitation. Pollard is simular to Gibbs.
I'd prefer Bijan. Give me the one of one talent potential 3 Down threat and look for a Pollard type mid-rounds or even next year if TP20 is 100 %.

Bijan is the 2016 Zeke for 4 years minimum imho.

I like Tajae Spears if both BR & Gibbs are gone. Draft anyy of the 3: + a good TE and G add and I feel we're the best offensive team in the NFL.

I would say Gibbs is a rarer talent than Bijan. We almost never see receiving backs come into the league as polished as he is, and none of them have had 4.36 speed. It isn't a perfect comp, but Christian McCaffrey is probably the last guy like him.

Bijan is a hyper-athletic power back. He isn't a bad receiver, but he isn't the elite receiver he's billed as IMO, and most of his value comes as a pure runner.

Super-athletic, super-productive pure runners come into the draft almost every year. Last year had two guys like him in Breece Hall and Ken Walker. Travis Etienne was kind of in that mold in 2021, and Jonathan Taylor was definitely that dude in 2020.

So I could definitely see a team justifying a pick of Gibbs over Bijan, because Gibbs offers a skill set that you may not see for another 2 or 3 years.

But the thing with Gibbs is that you have to be willing to scheme for him as a receiver, and throw a ton of passes to your RB. Not every offense does that. But OTOH, every offense in the league power-runs quite a bit. So Gibbs needs to find a team with the right fit. Bijan is pretty much foolproof from a schematic standpoint.
They may feel they already have a Gibbs in Pollard and need more of the power back to move the chains in the East.

Whatever the other teams do, don't let Reid and Mahomes have Gibbs.

Has anyone brought up Gibbs size being a concern?

How many sub 200 pound RBs have been big time difference makers?

I’m anti RB in the 1st, but I do really really like Gibbs as a player. But I honestly think we’re talking about a high end complimentary back.

Yes. Definitely a concern. He’s basically Reggie Bush who was 5’10 and 200 lbs. Same type of built.

Emmitt Smith was 5’10 but weight 210-220. He was stocky with giant thighs and legs.

I like Bigsby. In no way is he comparable to Robinson.

This is not a great draft in general for the interior of either side of trenches (our 2 biggest remaining needs). With 2 of our biggest holes of CB 2 and WR 2 having been taken care of, I wouldn’t hate either RB being drafted in the 1st. We are drafting end of round. We will take what we can get. We should feel so lucky if we get a 1st round talent at all this year whether it be a RB, TE, or off ball LB. You know the positions that are considered of lesser value.

RB’S can be had anywhere in the draft. To waste a first round pick on one is nonsensical.

Guys still wanting to draft a RB in Rd 1 is amazing to me. Truly amazing. Didn’t learn the lesson with Zeke? Ok with Pollard tagged and a first round contract to another RB…really? Bigsby and McBride are 2 guys that may be around in rounds 3/4. I would bet a lot of money they will be as productive as Gibbs or Robinson especially over their careers. This is definitely the case here where the OL and other skill guys are solid.
Zeke was top 5…..late first round is different.
