And it's impossible to be at the "bottom of one's apathy" on a subject they are actively engaged in a dialogue over.

Look up what apathy means.

Well, that depends on whether there's a dialogue. If you asked me a question, and I said, "I couldn't care less," and I don't engage in the discussion, then that statement is accurate. A response is not the same as a dialogue.

Second, to say "I could care less" means one does care about the subject. If that's the case, you care more about the subject not less. The statement "I could care less" cancels the idea behind the expression because you're trying to convey that the idea or subject isn't important or is of such a low priority it isn't worth your attention or discussion.

I was thinking something similar, .. sort of.

If AR does not play, that is the type of thing that our team historically would look at and think it gives us a win.

I don't want to play AR, but I don't want to take them lightly because he is not playing.

They still have a strong receiving corp. Last wk rookie QB Mcgloin shredded our secondary in the first half, and I dont see why flynn couldnt with a better receiving corp. I expect every game to be competitive from here on out.

This is just wrong. There are many things that I care about...but don't care about all that much.

If I say I could care less about something...that could mean I care a ton about the subject...it could also mean that I care little about the subject.

Its the equivalent of saying your score is less than 1000. That score could be 10. It could be 999.

Right...I want a win, and chances are better with Flynn over Rogers [even at 50%]. I can care less about the full strength crap.

Right, like we don't have the most decimated DL in football. I'll take Rogers with a healthy Spencer, Ware, Ratliff, Crawford and Bass.

If he isn't playing for Chicago, then I don't care right now...ask me about Aaron around 1:00 am EST on the 10th

I couldn't care less about him! :D

That's what I'm talking about! The mentality of "I hope we don't see him" or "I told you this" or " I told you that" or "they have it in for the richest team in the sport" ….. Just sounds ridiculous at this point. We need to win games. You do that by producing on the field. We have to line em up to knock them down. If we are going to win a super bowl, win the rest of our games ahead…. old cliche…. One game at a time.

GO BOYS!

At this point in THIS season, they had better have the mantra of "One game at a time". The division is ripe for the taking, time to pick it from the vine

That team looked toothless on Thanksgiving. Offered no resistance whatsoever. Had the best possible start they could have hoped for, quick fumble return for a touchdown and another pick on the next drive...

...and they still get run over by 30 points. Yes, any team can beat another team on any given Sunday but I wouldn't go so far as to say I expect a competitive game since I don't think that Rodgers will play against us. If we can beat Chicago, I think we'll be in really good shape. That's a big "if," however.

Rodgers returned to practice last week so there's a real good chance he'll play against the Cowboys. The Packers are going to be done if he's not back soon. Before his injury GB was 5-2 riding a 4 game winning streak and since his injury they haven't won a game and are sitting at 5-6-1.

We need the win desperately. Hopefully Rodgers does NOT play.

I'm sure I'm in the minority but I would like to see the Cowboys beat the Packers with Rodgers at QB. If the Cowboys are going to become a good football team and make some noise in the playoffs they have to show they can step up against a QB of Rodgers caliber in a game that will mean a lot to both teams. Beating the Packers with Rodgers at QB would give the Cowboy a lot of confidence heading into the final 2 games. The season is likely to come down to final game against Philly and Foles is one of the hottest QB's in the league right now.

I doubt the Cowboys will see the same Nick Foles they saw a few weeks ago who couldn't hit an open receiver from 15 yards away. I want to see the Cowboys defense step up against a great QB like Aaron Rodgers and see Romo out duel him in an important game it would be the best thing for the Cowboys heading into the final 2 weeks.

I think a nice winning streak would instill confidence regardless. I have a feeling the Eagles are playing with confidence because of their four-game winning streak, regardless of how they arrived at those four wins. Sure, I would love to see the Cowboys beat the Packers with Rodgers at QB. I would be less excited watching him slice and dice us like Brees did.

I'd rather be ignorant and in the playoffs than fully aware and watching the playoffs from home. LOL.

The title of the thread is "Rodgers may not play against Dallas" which means there's a possibility he could play if the Packers are still alive by then. The link to the article says if Rodgers can't play and it appears as though Green Bay is out of the playoff race it's likely the Packers will sit him for the rest of the season so he can't do any further damage to his collarbone. Naturally Rodgers won't be playing if the Packers are officially eliminated from the playoffs but If they're still alive heading into week 14 vs the Cowboys there's a pretty good chance he'll play considering he returned to practice last week.
