The Jets would’ve probably been better off taking a QB with the 15th pick they just traded away. Doubt this will work out any better for them than when they traded for Brett Favre who played only one season with the Jets and led them to a 9-7 record. They’ll be lucky if Aaron Rodgers plays two seasons with them.

Doubt this trade works out any better for the Jets than when they traded for Brett Favre. He only stayed with the Jets one season and they’ll be lucky to get much more than that out of Aaron Rodgers. Even though they keep missing on QBs in the draft they probably would’ve been better off drafting a QB with the 13th pick they swapped with the Packers. You can’t build a future with a soon to be 40 year old QB.

They didn’t come close to getting fleeced. They improved their first round pick by a couple of spots. They get a pick number 42 and they get a conditional second rounder in 2024 that can turn into a first rounder. That’s pretty good for a soon to be 40 year old QB who they’re not winning with. You don’t see teams get anything for a player that age. The Colts didn’t get anything for Peyton Manning and he was younger.
