I agree with you. Tony has no leverage especially after the year he had. Every interception he threw should be millions off his overall contract. I say a 4 year 40 million dollar deal sounds about right. This might be too much actually.

With that approach, Brees would be almost playing for free next year.

More rumblings today that a Rodgers deal is close.

Adam Shefter says speculation has it as a 4 year extension at about 25m/yr. Or, 25% more per year than Flacco's deal.
No mention of estimated guaranteed.
So, I think a 4 year ext takes Rodgers out to 6 yrs.
