He gets 750k base, 500k signing bonus, 250 workout bonus and 94k per game or 1.5m(14 games LTBE). The signing bonus is the only guaranteed money.

That leaves his cap number at 2.812m right now and could reach 3m of he plays all 16 games or it could be corrected down after the season if he misses more than 2 games

There is another 1m available based on snaps played:

65%= 250k
70%= 500k
75%= 750k
75%+playoffs= 1m

That bonus would be accounted for after the season and pushed to 2016 if cap money was not available

This contract leaves Dallas with approx 12m in cap space.(8m still needs to go towards Hardy's contract) + (2m needs to go towards the Draft picks)

Which is why I'd prefer to trade next year's picks to get more in this year's draft personally and just fill holes next year with FA to get Romo the SB.

We don't have 32 million in space next year. Crawford, Hardy, McClain, Dez and Leary will be free agents. Plus, all of our current CBs will be gone. We won't even have enough money next year to bring back our own guys. Sort of like this season.

They can do a long term deal for Dez and Hardy and have a 12-14m cap hit combined. Mcclain won't get much more than he did this year, if they even bring him back. Leary is a RFA next year since he was only a ERFA this year. Unless Crawford just completely blows up next season, he won't break the bank. I really don't see how they can't bring back any and everyone of those players that they want. They could actually probably bring them all back even with franchising Dez again and still sign a top tier FA

Thats also not taking into account a Tyron restructure, Brandon Carr being either a reduced salary, or still saving money on a outright cut this year or next, Gackhar likely not being here since his deal was almost designed to be cut. The Cowboys could easily go into next off season with 45+m in cap room. It sounds like you're being negative just to be negative.

Just like we wouldn't be able to sign 15 free agents this free agency period. There is just so much wrong with the he above post. Scandrick and Carr are both scheduled to be on the roster. Patmon too.

But be alarmist if you want to, I guess.

I'm glad that the front office did not hand out long term deals to RoMac and Hardy.. Franchising Dez At this point was very prudent...

I'm being more realistic than a pessimist. I have confidence that all of those guys will have great seasons and demand money. I doubt McClain demands the same amount of money unless he has a poor season or more off the field issues. He's a young and potentially elite talent. Teams are just waiting for him to prove that he's worth it. We're getting a free audition from him this year, but if he has a great season, he won't come cheap three years in a row. Hardy is also a trial season. He took a one year deal so that he can show teams he's worth a huge contract. And I don't see why Crawford wouldn't have a breakout year. He was great last year in his first healthy season. He finally has the talent around him so he can get those sack numbers that everyone goes crazy over. A young DT demands a lot of money in this league. You must be underestimating our players if you think we'll be able to resign all of them and still have a lot of money left over. I think it'll be more like this offseason (not that that's a bad thing). We'll bring back the ones we really need, try to negotiate with the others but most likely lose a few, and sign mid level veterans to fill any holes before the draft. Or we can live in your fantasy world and sign three JJ Watts and a half o dozen Andrew Lucks.

What fantasy world is that? Dez and Hardy can have 1st year cap hits that are in the 6-7m range. Thats how 1st years of deals are structured. Crawford wont command much more than that. Mcclain is an MLB/ILB with a ridiculous history of being a flake and has other off field issues. I seriously doubt he ever gets paid like an elite player. You are still ignoring the issue that baring any in season deals, they could easily go into the off season with 45m+ in cap space. How is that remotely similar to this off seasons cap freedom. Or is 45m+ not a large enough number? Whether you want to believe it or not, math shows that they can sign any or all of those players that they want to.

Who is Gackhar?

He's being touted as a better version of Cameron Lawrence. Can play Will LB and STs. Also played for Cowboys LB coach Matt Eberflus while both were at Missouri.
