Good. Does anyone really consider him a part of the team anyway?

Jerry has said they are working to get some or all of the signing bonus back before they cut him. But who believes Jerry...

The league rules would be that if we cut him now, we don't recapture the bonus. If we cut him now we don't get any portion of that 750k back. We'd get a rebate of close to 500k on the cap. If he is cut post-suspension. So this isn't them "working on it." More likely it is them deciding whether 500k of cap space is worth a spot on the 90 man roster. If Ro just decides to retire or fails another test, we'd be in line for the entire 750k.

This is probably the first step in us telling him not to bother to report as we will cut him when the suspension ends.

And I do think 500k to your cap is worth the 90th spot on the roster. Now if we have a spate of injuries and need some bodies that might change but that's what I'm seeing right now.

I had read that his signing bonus was forfeited when he was suspended.

I wish we could just cut all players that have any drugs issues, take the cap hit and move on. I would love to send a message that those types of suspensions will no longer be tolerated. It would be even better if during the 2020 CBA would allow players to be cut without salary ramifications within reason. I know it's not well thought out and that people may take exception...but we don't have a coach that has any power....we need to have some policy in place.

Man, I still don't think that Jason Garrett is a powerless paper lion...

An owner with $2 billion net worth, is more than a lion needing a heart...

I just want to see Garrett step and go on a rant...I know it's not the best thing...but at times I need Garrett to just be a man to cut people...

Remember John Roper?
