I was debating this between a few of my buddies. Let's say Romo continues to put up his typical numbers. AKA 3600 yards,32 TD's 16 INT for the next 4-5 years. Puts him at age 33 or 34. He also gets 2 SB rings when he's all finished. Does he go into the HOF? I say yes. What do you think?

I think it will be a hard debatt if he puts the stats and has 2 SB rings. The point were most people have problems with Romo (including me) is that he doesn't seem to have the ability to play good football in important games.

If he can't get that reputation off of him then he will always be questioned to be a HoF. If a Quaterback hasn't the ability to put his mark on a important game against a good to great opposing football team, then imo he wiill never be a HoF in the view of most people.

There are quaterbacks who won SB but won them because their team won it for them. People (inlcuding me) who think a QB is a HoF QB expect a QB to drive their team to victory not the other way around.

The QB position is the position of a leader. People expect certain things from a leader. One of them is the thing i just explained. Romo hasn't shown that ability. So he is a good Qb but he lacks the ability that most people expect from a QB who is HoF meterial. And as long as he doesn't show this i don't think he will ever be HoF material.

In the end the stats will mater of course and maybe in the end with 2 SB ring he will get into the HoF. The question is will the people say: Yes he for sure belongs there.

If he is putting up those numbers along with a couple of championship yes I would say he would be a lock. Right now though I'm only concerned with the here and now, and look forward to seeing how Romo career plays out in Dallas.

If he continues at this pace, numbers wise, and is able to help this team get over their December issues, win some playoff games, and win a Superbowl or two then I do believe he'll have a real shot of making it.

Will he? *Shrugs* Who knows but I certainly will be pulling for him.
