If that's the reason, they need their ***** kicked. We don't have time for that.

Granted. I'd really hate to think this thing might be destined to be continued throughout the regular season.
It's really difficult to comprehend why this is happening to such an ungodly extent. Their performance is like a day and night transition from what it was last year. I can understand their being a bit rusty but that's excessive.

All you have to do is watch hiw McFadden handled his carries. He hit the holes that the oline created. Game planning or not, he did his job. He looked good. Sorry to disappoint you.

McFadden is living a dream

He's a cowboy.
He has a real QB.
He has a real good oline.
He had great players around him.

He WILL do HIS part.

It's crazy how most of us overlooked McFadden and jumped on the Joseph Randle hype train just because of the crappy situation he was in while with the Raiders (and his injuries of course). But thinking about how great he was in college at Arkansas and the fact that Oakland has been one of the most dysfunctional sports franchises... maybe this is the perfect storm with DMC being here in Dallas now. He's always had the talent and athleticism... now he's finally gonna get to showcase it, if he can stay healthy. That's a big if but that was the same case with DeMarco up until last season. But I'm putting my money on McFadden to stay healthy and have a great season for us.

Very Terry Glenn-ish

Oh how I miss Terry Glenn. It is too bad he didn't have more time with Romo. It would have been interesting to see him paired with Owens had he be a few years younger.

It just seemed like Romo and Glenn were in sync from day one.

Romo was sharp tonight throwing 2 TD's. On that 2nd TD you can't give a QB of Romo's caliber that much time and not expect to get burned. That's the mark of a great QB. Making it look easy. Really liked what I saw from McFadden as well. He was quick to the hole and showed excellent acceleration. All those who poo poo'ed the Cowboys running game have egg on their face.

I agree Dmac looked good but let's see what happens when the real lights turn on. I hope your right and I hope he stays healthy.

No magicman that is not true.

Most people said Mcfadden just flat out can't play.

So please don't turn this into "wellllll we always knew he was really good but he just couldn't stay healthy".

Everyone has said his health is an issue but not everyone on this board believes in his talent.

Exactly. I don't keep track of who said what so I'm not pointing fingers, but there were hundreds if not thousands of posts here pointing to his low YPC over the past few years and his two backup's outplaying him. That was the justification for saying he wasn't any good.

Oh the other hand, one good preseason game doesn't mean he will sustain that performance. I think he's going to be just fine though.

Well it was a PS game, so good or bad you cant judge much from this.
Minnesota was a 7-9 team last year, and I dont know how good their run defense was last year.
DMC did look good on the few runs, but a real game is totally different thing.

On Romo he looked good physically, so that is the main thing, and he will be better early on than last year.
But that being said, 1st 2 possesions fizzled, and 3rd was just a quick strike to williams for long td.
4th was move ok and then punt

5th after beasley return and only 23 yards to go against a fairly weak defense.
on the td play no one covered lucky, and he did good just ran from one side to the other, and was open
most of the way.

Even the giants game 1 wont be a good test, unless giants somehow get it together.
The philly game 2 will be the big test for both teams, and then a tough atlanta team, after those we will know
more about what this years cowboy team will be like.

The big negative out of PS was our 2 bkup qb's , they looked bad.
RB's look ok. hard to tell though till we see about 3 games.
The ST's did too, but those werent the guys who will be playing ST in game 1.

He is known for his speed. That is nothing new. I'll wait until he has to get thru a couple of defenders and pick up the tough yards.

As part of a Running Back by Committee or simply just the #2 RB he does not really have to prove anything in terms of "tough yards". He needs to come in a be the big play threat that is also a really good pass blocker. Randle will be the grinder.

First team offense and first defense looked good. That plus no significant injuries = mission accomplished.

Now someone should fix special teams.

Rich Bisaccia must have been beside himself when Patterson scored on that kickoff return.
