This is why the $100 million contract with $55 mil guaranteed is going to kill this franchise for the next 5 years.

Jerry Jones can't be making these types of emotional based signings anymore. There's a reason why we've been mediocre for the past two decades ... this is one of those reasons.

Not only do we NOT have a replacement in place for Romo, his contract cripples us for years.

This is NOT a good situation to be in.

I can see it's really killed us so far this year.

I remember the last time we had to replace a great QB and it wasn't fun. I'm not looking forward to another Quincy Carter - Chutch battle for QB or bringing in a baseball player because he went to Michigan making him the next Tom Brady. I hope Romo gets healthy and continues to play at a high level like he has all year.

you must not have read on here how you can pluck the next franchise qb off the qb tree in the first round.
i remember people around here drooling over geno freaking smith..our nextqb we should trade up for

Ah, another smart aleck butthurt over a clarifying question. You do know what a clarifying question is? It's a question where you think you understand what the sender said but ask to make sure you are absolutely certain. It has nothing to do with reading abilities. It has to do with the desire to be certain you correctly interpret the information the sender wanted to convey. :)

Maybe this is where I say "Learn the full scope of the English language?" ;)

Sorry I got a bit snappy there. I said most everyone on here is working off of incomplete information or misinformation, because that is the level of information that we have access to, myself included. I qualified that because there is a small chance that someone on here has a better access to inside information then most of us here.

Referencing realists was just because several people were calling themselves that, and what I think that means is that the person has their preconceived bias and is basically interpreting the information in such a way as to confirm that bias. That is something I believe pretty much everyone does. In this particular case I think realist mostly translates as pessimist but they don't want to have the stigma of calling themselves that.

Fair enough. Thanks for the explanation.

There's not a real difference in between 8-8 and 2-14. I'd rather go 2-14, in fact.

The year to do that was the year before Luck came out, actually 0-16 might have been necessary, hopefully if thats in our future there's a tux coming out the following year but I think the team is good enough to do better than 2-14 even with a mediocre QB

I believe its in everyone's interest for Romo to recover and play at a high level for at least a couple more years but I understand the concern

There's no way to prove this, but I'm absolutely convinced the Colts TANKED the season to draft Andrew Luck.

Exactly. And the worst part is people are acting like Romo is a Hall of Fame QB or something. He just flat out hasn't gotten it done. He's good, but not good enough. I could see this kind of belly aching if he was Peyton Manning or something.

Peyton Manning is older than Romo and will undoubtedly retire before Romo, thanks for playing tho.
