Romo Calls TO the best teamate!

I just have to laugh at all these comments in support of TO. I have been with this forum for 6 years and nothing changes. If TO were on some other team, all of these people who are praising him would be criticizing him. When TO spiked the ball on our star, this forum hated him with a passion.

Seriously, if Buddy Ryan became our head coach, 80% of this forum would suddenly start talking as if he was better than Jimmy Johnson.

It's only a matter time. TO won't be with this team after next season. It's amusing to see all the Parcell supporters disappear. I remember all the members with Parcells-related handles are pretty much gone so too will the TO supporters vanish and reappear.

TO is basically the reason Parcells retired. He didn't want to deal with the distractions and lack of control he has on the team with TO on it. You can believe whatever you want regarding his "retirement" but I guarantee Parcells is not done coaching. He just didn't want to deal with all the b.s. for another season. BP will wait for the right opportunity in a couple of years and re-emerge. And when that happens, you can remember I wrote this. LOL

TO threw Parcells under the bus. And then he tried to cover it up the next day about saying how he loved his Grandmother but that like his Grandmother, Parcells was too old fashioned and not right for this team. Yeah, like that erases everything TO said the previous day about Parcells and makes it alright. Are you kidding me.... Yeah, like that's the media's fault TO does this to himself. No one forces him to say anything. Do you really think TO will say anything nice about Romo when he leaves. He was best friend with both Garcia and McNabb and turned on them when he left. TO has no class whatsoever. He is just a child that has mood swings. Right now, he likes his QB and is happy, but when he is in a bad mood, he will throw Romo under the bus like he did to his previous QB's.
Yes... yes, i can feel your hatred for T.O. STRIKE HIM DOWN WITH ALL YOUR HATRED AND YOUR JOURNEY TOWARD THE DARKSIDE WILL BE COMPLETE!!! (Darth Sidious voice)

Man dude what are you talking about?

We've had several players that have got as much attention to him and its kinda hard to control what the media puts on television.
Name those players.

While you are naming the players, specify whether there was criminal activity involved or not. Also, indicate whether attention was focused upon the player(s) on the field or off.

Owens has been doing his shtick since well-before he was Cowboy or an Eagle. To his credit (thus far), none of his nonsense has been criminally-based. Players involved in criminal activity SHOULD BE reported by the media. That's a given. What has been fed to the media by Owens are totally unnecessary actions such as...

The Star 'incident' (nice word).

The feud with Steve Mariucci.

Being quoted in Playboy for insinuating Jeff Garcia's sexuality (like *** cares???).

Helping his agent botch his trade between the 49ers and Ravens.

Inserting Brett Favre's name in his criticisms of the media following his spectacular play in the Eagles' Super Bowl loss.

Crying (with tears flowing ) on national television that his multi-million dollar signing bonus with the Eagles and saying, paraphrasing, "Wasn't enough to feed his family".

His public feud with Andy Reid.

...on and on. I haven't even typed McChunky's name. And let's not even mention the nonsense he's created while wearing a Cowboys' uniform.

Too much drama which the media has too easily exploited (it's like taking candy from a baby  ) that was created by Owens. Owens lives his life as a soap opera and loves to create mess to keep his "34 & Restless" rollercoaster going nonstop.

That's what's truly sad. A self-made super-athlete who has mired his own legacy with cheap antics to puff up his own self-absorption.

Remember to mention Michael Irvin, 'kay? :)

You are going to upset the TO worshippers with that post. Didn't you know that TO is the greatest team mate evar? All those incidents are created by TO haters and media, he never did any of those things, ever.

He's a good player and an asset on the field. I'm not sure where you get this "best teammate evar" mess. You're showing your age.

Ahhem so are you when you go and find articles and then keep the threads going. Give it a break. There will be plenty of owens news soon enough.

I'm doing nothing different than anyone else around here. There were also articles with a negative slant towards TO. Those aren't difficult to find.

Look at this thread. I didn't start the TO back and forth babble. I simply jumped into it as I often do. This was supposed to be a positive thread.

It's funny because of us who spout off at the mouth, and nothing but negativity comes out of it, and we're always on here fighting and what not, who do we sound like? We sound just like TO.

And we have the nerve to bash someone who's just like us?

The guy is hated because he speaks his mind and the guy just can't lie. In some religious foundations, that would be considered a good thing.

I bash when needed to be bashed, and I praise when needed to be praised.

I bashed TO only when he said his mind was on his party in stead of the speech, I didn't like that comment. And if you have 3 surgeries on your hand, something is wrong with it, and coming from a guy "myself" who was an outstanding receiver, I know for a fact you can't catch with a messed up hand.

Personally, he should just shut up, but he's not going to. That's what makes him TO. He talks talks talks, and every now and then, you can get him to throw someone under the bus or say something that will make you hate him.

While others won't say anything, but will simply quit on you and stab you in the back.

So the next time we want to dump on someone else for the way they are, maybe we should offer words of wisdom to ourselves first, because alot of us act the same way around here. If you don't know who you are, then YOU are TO
Carry on folks!

T.O. is emo.

I mean seriously, black eye shadow emo.

But he does offer his teammates some concern. He was the one guy alive who spoke up for Vanderjagt. He always spoke glowingly of Romo.

I know he drove Garcia crazy and his relationship with McNabb turned from loving advances to bitter vitriole but the guy sticks up for those who stick up for him.

He's kinda like a hot 18 year old girl. Woulda said 15 but 15 year olds are not allowed to be hot.

I'm not a hypocrit either. I really had no opinion of him in SF because I didn't really pay that much attention to SF.

So you had no opinion of TO when he was with San Fran? No way anybody believes that. No way.

I must say... when TO was in SF I didnt hear or know too much about him... except for the media stuff.... when he played us and did the star thing... then I took notice and was mad.... but I wanted that fire on our team and we didnt have it... I noticed him more in Philly... he toasted us for 3 TD's... I was pissed.... then he was available to us.... I think we do with him what the Eagles couldnt/wouldnt do with him...

You haters are truly pathetic. your hate is so deeply rooted that it blinds you from any ability to enjoy anything remotely related to TO. It's quite sad actually. You won't be enjoying much this upcoming year when Romo and TO, under the guidance of Jason Garrett, are burning up the field. You won't have many happy moments. Theres' nothing for you to look forward to. Sell your tvs now.

Pathetic will be the way you *** kissers turn on Terrell Owens when he's exiled from our team also. Pathetic is the way guys like you bashed Terrell Owens in Philly, now think he's the greatest thing since sliced bread, and everyone else was the problem, not him. That's exactly what he's been saying his whole career.

He's the same guy that played in San Francisco, and Philly. A narcissistic adolescent in a 34 year old body.

I felt the same way. I didn't really care much about him until he denigrated our star. Then I "knew" him and was pissed. Now he's a Boy and all is well.

Try to keep the argument halfway cerebral if you have it in you mr. internet big guy.

I never hated nor loved TO when he wasn't a Cowboy. I only became enlightened when he danced on our star. Now that he is a Boy and has apologized for any acts prior to putting on the uniform I will continue to support him. When he is no longer a Boy I don't know if I will still follow him or go back to not caring. That remains to be seen. One thing is for sure... I won't dog the guy. Never have. Never will. Now back to your 3rd grade vocab.

I wouldn't go as far to say that those people who defend Owens in some type of way are all a** kissers. I've defended him every now and then, but I'm quite sure that I would never waste my time defending him if his actions/words don't warrant that treatment.

Yes, he gets on my nerves and pisses me off sometimes. But at the same time, there are times when I do feel like he has been ganged up on.

I don't kiss his a** - I just tolerate him.

He's with us now, whether we like it or not. He wants to win with us and that's good enough for me. The guy has a burning desire to win, and you cannot knock his passion. I've seen many shots of T.O. being one of very few on the sidelines trying to be encouraging to get the team fired up.

He has good qualities - I just try and look past the bad ones in order to see the good aspects of him. After all, he's a Dallas Cowboy. I do want him to succeed. If you root against him in any type of capacity, you might as well stop liking the Boys.

I root against him opening his mouth, but I don't think that should exclude me from rooting for the Cowboys!

Sorry dude. I try to adjust my vocabulary to the mentality of whom I'm addressing. In this case, you.

Rooting against his mouth is one thing: I think we all root against that.

But I know that there are people out there that wish him harm in some type of capacity. It's almost like they want him to go out and drop passes just so we can get rid of him. I, on the other hand, want him to catch every pass that comes his way because it's helping the entire team. If he succeeds, so do we in some type of form.
