Not to hijack the thread, but him getting the best of his father doesn't mean he went to the dark side. The emperor was purposely pushing his button as the entire point was for him to replace his father and stand alongside him. Luke refused to give in which is why he was electrocuted numerous times to the point of near death.

I'm assuming this is snark.

He didn't fully embrace the dark side but he did give in to his rage to defeat his father. In the EU books, this has been touched upon as well as another time he went to the dark side in order to free his Wife, Mara. However the EU is no longer considered canon. That only leaves the one time where he gave into his rage to defeat Vader. As far as the Jedi our concerned, that is going down the path to the dark side.

That's speculation. He never went to the dark side. He fully says "I am a jedi, like my father before me." I'd suggest watching the new movie.

I have watched the new movie and have read over 40 SW's novels. He did go down the path. It's not speculation. As far as the Jedi are concerned, he did go down the path.

Do it, Tony.

If we are to keep the coaching staff in place "as is" and rely on Romo for the next few years to be our on field OC, this is a no brainer. Get the surgery done yesterday. We have obviously placed all of our eggs into 1 basket out of 53. Let's ensure that basket remains in one piece.

Just plate it all Tony. Become Plate Man.

I was thinking the same. Insert steel rods / plates wherever the possibility of injury exists.

Let's make Romo the $6,000,000 man.

Probably should just insert these plates on his whole body...if you are going to do it, do it right

Romo in 2016.

The novels aren't what we are discussing. Just the movies. And going down the path and becoming a member are 2 far different things.

Ok, just using the movies (which is dumb because you aren't understanding in which the ways that the Jedi conduct themselves because you only have a few to go on), From a certain point of view, one can also say that Vader never "became" a sith fully because in the end, he left the dark side. From a certain point of view. That comes from a movie...

Doc - does this mean it will be always weaker? If so wouldn't the plate at least help with displacement and alignment sans the 300 pound dude falling on it?

The goal is to have the bone in proper position and alignment in order to facilitate complete union.

The inherent problem with clavicles is that you don" get end-to-end approximation without surgery. Instead, there is what we call bayonet apposition -- an overlapping of the fractured bone ends, which can heal even thicker than the original, but which are subject to movement during the healing process, even with breathing.

So, complete immobilization is always the goal in order to get complete healing , but it's difficult to achieve in an athlete's clavicle without surgery, if the player is trying to get back on the field ASAP.

For the average patient, the fracture will heal adequately over 2-3 months without surgery, and could do so in the offseason.

The books are no longer canon, unfortunately. I read them too, so you should understand after watching the movie, why it is no longer canon.

Now, only what we saw in the movies is canon. Luke took a step down the path, and turned right back around.

In the EU, yes, he went dark for a bit.

Getting back to reality, Romo understandably elected to avoid surgery the first time around.

With the results being what they were, he'd probably have been better off to have the plate attached.

I hope he's wise enough to get the plate put in. He'd be a fool to repeat his mistake and anticipate better results.

He should have plenty of time for the surgery to heal completely and be able to rehab enough to be well prepared for TC.

I need to apologize to the poster when I made fun of his post about a college kid who did this.

Ive read the novels too. Just for the record. There a lot of holes in both storylines, which hopefully the new trilogy fills.

Yeah he counted on us winning enough games for him to make a playoff run. He rushed back to try and save the season and it backfired. I wish he had the surgery then too in retrospect. Hopefully if he has it now he won't be delayed in camp he needs the reps and so does his offense.

lol, so rage = evil. Pretty sure the rebels had heated passion (or so called rage) when fighting against the Galactic Empire. Not just Luke.
