He must have just been released from prison if he thinks this is news.

LAY UP???!??
Laying up is for wimps... Roy McEvoy had the right idea...![]()

Golf isn't an issue. Naive fans is the issue.
Welcome to the Zone. Hold on tight. It gets bumpy in here.

THIS.cowboyjoe;3940702 said:If you all noticed, I didnt say a word in February, or first tournament in March when Romo was playing golf, but when April came and 2 tournaments were played, and still nothing on organized workouts by players, and they started saying, couldnt find a place to get all the players to work out together, then its like im seeing the red flag being waved in front of me.

Isn't a person allowed to have hobbies outside of their normal work life. Hell- there are 168 hours in a week. If he puts in 15-20 hours in the off season on football. And 50-60 hours in the regular season. I could care less what he does in the extra hours in the off season.
Especially in a year-- the owners are locking the players out.
Fans are getting completely ridiculous. If the world looked into your glass house what would they find. Well, my guess-- a bunch of hours goofing off. Like reading or asking questions like this on this message board. Just as a good many of us have.
I know I don't work 50-60 hours a week every week. I work 50 on average. But, not every week. Good for Romo-- go play some golf. Recharge your batteries for the season.

jswalker1981;3940825 said:Umm, you forgot that he is the QB of America's Team, and because he wears his hat backwards, he warrants this kind of scrutiny.
I don't think it is an issue at all. He has said, and has proven, that he is more concerned about football than golf. Golf is a hobby for him, football is his career.
Q_the_man;3940939 said:He hasn't proven nothing but put up good stats and 1 playoff win in 5 years. I love stats and all but he's 31 not 25, meaning he might have 3 to 4 more years left at a high level, which coming off a injury that sidelined him for 10 games should be concentrating more on football than golf....

I think it is awesome to see an athlete so competitive and athletic to succeed in multiple sports. I was just curious of other fans thoughts and opinions. I always hate to see so much criticism on a player that I love. I say Good Luck Tony!!
