LAY UP???!??

Laying up is for wimps... Roy McEvoy had the right idea... :D

That and statistically you are far better going for it if you can get it there. :)

I can actually show you where every winning Super Bowl QB in History is a golfer.

Golf isn't an issue. Naive fans is the issue.

Welcome to the Zone. Hold on tight. It gets bumpy in here.

Does get bumpy, and sometimes you have to eat crow. But I stick to my guns and go down with the ship sometimes. I honestly think if G... wasn't mentioned, or even banned to talk about g... or whatever with any articles etc... I would probably get along pretty good with some cowboys fans. But when the golf issue pops up, its like waving a red flag in front of me, come time I think should be spent on Dallas Cowboys Football 24/7.

If you all noticed, I didnt say a word in February, or first tournament in March when Romo was playing golf, but when April came and 2 tournaments were played, and still nothing on organized workouts by players, and they started saying, couldnt find a place to get all the players to work out together, then its like im seeing the red flag being waved in front of me. I may have said something in jest in March, but nothing negative, but a few weeks ago I did or so.

I dont have a problem with someone having a life of their own, but to me, in last week in March, Mid April and May should be spent on working out, getting with trainers in weight room. Its like Jay Ratliff said one time, thats when the hard work is put in for it to pay off during the season. You have to put in the hard work, with weight trainers, see the coaches, then get ready for mini camp, OTAs , then have last part in June off to rest your body and go vacationing and get ready at end of July for training camp and a hard camp in pads, studying, working etc... That I wanted Romo to see the players know if their in shape, know their playbook so he could report to Coach Jason Garrett if certain players didnt show up for organized workouts, while the strike and lockout was going on after March 3rd, so Romo could help Jason Garrett and report to him in some way. Whether thats right or wrong, thats the way i view things when coaching staff cant get with players, its up to the leaders to get them ready and let Coach Garrett know.

Aw Joe. You just opened a huge can of worms. What if Romo thinks its ok to go to the movies now? Slippery slope.

During time that players need to be in valley ranch, working out, lifting weights, etc, should be dallas cowboys football nothing else. The big issue with me, was when cowboys players couldnt find a place to work out together, because Coach Jason Garrett couldnt check up on the players, the night time, weekends is Romo's. I dont care during offseason what Romo does at night time or on weekend, thats his time. But I wanted Romo to help Jason Garrett out, by being the leader, and knowing what players werent in shape if so.

Example would be Robert Brewster. Is he still fat and overweight and has a sloppy body, etc... I wanted Romo, Witten, Brooking to all be together in theswe organized workouts after March 3rd, in whatever capacity, if weight lifting, or walkthroughs, going over play book, whatever, then being able at a point to report to Coach Garrett, so come time valley ranch is open, even when Friday was open for a day during the draft, Coach Garrett could call in that player, see if indeed liike Romo, Witten, Brooking, Bradie told him that player was outof shape, didnt know his play book and Coach Garrett could read the law to that player, then, to correct if was a problem, then by time, players could go back and work out, doors open, that player had better be ready or else and Coach Garrett had time either to cut that player right then, trade him or whatever

Thats the main reason i wanted players working in whatever capacity organized players meetings, so that player was either straightened out, or let go, so come training camp, we wouldnt have a player not in shape or not ready.

Thats why.

Not quite sure-- why people care about this...

Isn't a person allowed to have hobbies outside of their normal work life. Hell- there are 168 hours in a week. If he puts in 15-20 hours in the off season on football. And 50-60 hours in the regular season. I could care less what he does in the extra hours in the off season.

Especially in a year-- the owners are locking the players out.

Fans are getting completely ridiculous. If the world looked into your glass house what would they find. Well, my guess-- a bunch of hours goofing off. Like reading or asking questions like this on this message board. Just as a good many of us have.

I know I don't work 50-60 hours a week every week. I work 50 on average. But, not every week. Good for Romo-- go play some golf. Recharge your batteries for the season.

Umm, you forgot that he is the QB of America's Team, and because he wears his hat backwards, he warrants this kind of scrutiny. ;)

I don't think it is an issue at all. He has said, and has proven, that he is more concerned about football than golf. Golf is a hobby for him, football is his career.

Have you heard that Romo is trying to qualify for the U.S. Open? What is your thoughts about that?

Why does he do this to us? WHY?:cry2:

How come you never hear about Romo studying film, we always hear he's trying out for golf tournaments, basketball, but never football.

Bash me all yall want, but if he's trying out for golf tournaments, means he is putting weeks of practice into it, which could go to football, Romo will always be considered a good NFL QB but never great.

He hasn't proven nothing but put up good stats and 1 playoff win in 5 years. I love stats and all but he's 31 not 25, meaning he might have 3 to 4 more years left at a high level, which coming off a injury that sidelined him for 10 games should be concentrating more on football than golf....

No, he proved he cared more about football than golf when he was at the first day of OTAs instead of his scheduled qualifying for a golf tournament.

I guess Ware doesn't care about football because he only has one playoff win. Witten only thinks about himself, and not the team, the "proof" is the one playoff win.

What a joke, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

I want you to all know that I am not a Romo Hater!! I often tell people that I am "homo for Romo" haha. I think it is awesome to see an athlete so competitive and athletic to succeed in multiple sports. I was just curious of other fans thoughts and opinions. I always hate to see so much criticism on a player that I love. I say Good Luck Tony!!

I'm more of the Romosexual type, he gives me a broner.
