Romo interview

Romo cant come back , not due to his back, etc, but because of his job.
He got the type of job you just cant quit. it is too good of a job.

If tony was just retired or had some small job, sure he might come back, but no way he could leave the job he has
unless they said they would hold the job for him so he could then get his job back, but I dont think they would do that.,

The Jones boys messed up when they demoted tony, so I dont know that he would want to come back to the cowboys.
If I were him I would want to play for NE and get a ring !

Why would he want to come back to this dysfunctional mess even if he could?

Playing for a Garrett/Linehan offense or hanging out in the booth doing something he's very good at and can probably do for 20 more years of he chooses. Tough choice.

The one thing people here are forgetting is that Romo now works for the media. With Cowboys fans all emotional and panicky this makes for a great "controversy" story the same way those bogus "Manziel will get picked by the Cowboys" stories were flying before the draft. Tony could have squashed things by saying his football career was over but just this little bit is enough to get Cowboys nation in a foaming-at-the-mouth frenzy. I think he knows what he's doing.

I change my mind. I'm all for bringing him back. He will either 1. earn the God-like status his fans have elevated him to 2. get hurt or 3. fail to win once again possibly choking the season away. Anything less than a SB would be failure and getting hurt or failing to make playoffs or win a playoff game would be a complete embarrasment.

And we know he wouldn't be rusty. His one drive in Philly proved he can just flip a switch.

Let's bring him back. We have nothing to lose.

"Heh Heh....ROMO SUCKS! Get out! We don't need you!

.....please bb, come back"

Fixed that for ya.

If we're going to indulge this fantasy...

The real question is, how many minutes after Romo signs does Witten quit MNF?

He should quit b/c he's gonna get fired. He's terrible. His insights are over-obvious and he has no wit. I think ESPN is trying to salvage things by giving Booger McFarlane on the sideline a bigger role.

come back Romo, defenders get flagged for grazing you so surely all those late hits and pile drive tackles you took SHOULDN'T be an issue anymore.

At the SuperBowl halftime the Eagles and ABBA would both perform.

The last time he played under Garrett/Linehan for a full season...
Romo was #1 in NFL for QBR (113.2)
Offense was #4th best in NFL

Do you think Tony might like the idea of redemption? And a title. Just a little?

Those numbers just confirm to me how amazing Romo was. Imagine being able to turn this crap into those numbers?

He may improve over time.

It was a huge risk putting him on a high profile spot like that immediately. Most guys cut their teeth calling Bengals vs Jets games and garbage like that. Not by doing nationally televised games.

Yeah did they beg him to coach the team?
I wish!

How soon people forget that Romo was covering for Garrett's suckness and his skill made JG look good even though JG totally sucked and still does and always will which of course means he'll be here forever since he's the "Johnny Walker" Jones boys anointed puppet in perpetuity/

(I know. I'm such a big meanie!) :lmao:
