A lot of you guys are crybabies. I hope this is all an act...otherwise it's extremely unlikely you folks have had any real success in life.

Complain and whine and see the downside in everything!

Romo plays the entire quarter....takes a bad hit and is lost for the season....you'd be up in arms.

I'd much rather they go on a play count rather than saying 2 series. Also, I hope the rest of the 1s are staying out for a couple of possessions with Weeden.

Romo doesn't need to play to get in sync with his receivers or throw it to them. It's one quarter vs every day in practice for quite awhile. Get over it. Write that 100 times and call me in the morning.

You're right. Teams have got it all wrong. Preseason isn't needed. Even for the franchise QBs. Why they'll all be fielding their starters for a half or more this week is beyond me. These people have practice.

Should play the entire first half, if he really was 100% it wouldn't be a problem

I don't care how much or how little he plays. He's going to play great against SF, regardless. The only thing I care about is that we don't lose players to injury this week.

All those other teams have players coming off back surgery?

You spend far too much time worrying about what others think.

A veteran like Romo who was throwing well the last game and in practice doesn't need it. Last year he did as he was rusty at first. There's a reason he isn't going to play much and the coaches are better able to make that decision than you; obviously. And it appears quite a few here are as well. Beasley, Dez and Williams are all on the same page. I could care less if he played or not although I admit I like watching him. Weeden is the one who needs the work. I hope he plays a good bit behind the number 1 OL.

He's 34 and he's probably not. I would rather him be a little rusty to start week one then get knocked out for the season in a meaningless preseason game.

I get that some folks think there is a country club atmosphere. But I do think the one place you do play it safe is with undoubtedly the most important guy on the team right now, who also happens to be coming off back surgery. If Romo goes down, with this defense, we are done before it even starts.

Todays coaches and players are lame. Wow the old days were more interesting.

This is not typical of Garrett to do this in the "dress rehearsal" game and simply indicates Romo is not 100% recovered from his back surgery.

If he's that fragile, what's going to happen once the regular season starts?

my, my, my....I don't know why this is even a discussion point....most teams are going to sit their vet starters for much of the pre-season...Dallas is no different...country club atmosphere? please....how about healthy team for week # against SF >>>>>>> getting extra snaps to avoid people thinking the team is soft on their vets

on a side note: I haven't seen all of the whiney "Manziel should have been our pick" people after he flopped the other day....good times....

By then, he will have (hopefully) gone another three weeks without taking any serious hits and will be that much less fragile. This isn't rocket science.

We've also been told he's 100% better. I would feel different if he wasn't. The third game is supposed to be the dress rehearsal game. Once the regular season starts he 's not going to have time to get into game shape.I just don't want to hear any excuses.
