So a photo of him in a baggy jersey? This is stupid, even by Cowboys fans standards. :laugh2:

Thanks, I haven't been looking around. You can tell in the face but many of these guys work themselves back into playing shape. Probably more kid time and post surgery rest than working out. As I said, if he's studying and alright in between the ears I don't care if he is Jared Lorenzo big if he can throw, win and minimize mistakes.

I don't see why it's so difficult to admit the guy could have gained a little weight in the offseason and needs to work it off.

Me either.

Okay, that's by your standards. I disagree with your assessment completely.

True, but he was just given a $100 million dollar contract. You could be the smartest player in the world, but if you can't physically do it, nothing else matters. Romo has, but IMO it needs to be a bigger priority now.

Especially with Romo getting up there in age, nutrition, diet and staying in shape should be an even BIGGER priority for him. He can't get away with eating that chocolate cake that he could back in 2006.

It can definitely be individual, but one's metabolism, hormones and body composition definitely changes as one ages...usually for the worse.

The issue is a lot of people are making it out like he's rolling around on a Rascal with a bag of pork rinds in the basket. :laugh2:

I get what you are saying, I was just hypothesizing that if he still had his skills and was overweight but was right in the head, I was fine. Obviously I'd rather have a guy in tip top shape at his age to minimize injuries.

My little brother once got the opportunity to play basketball against him, along with Witten & Dez. He said Romo was a weird dude; his body seemed to have no physicality to it whatsoever, even in the gym, but that he moved as if he were in great shape.

Romo's athleticism has never been a question so I'm not too worried.

The only thing "fat" is his contract which has put him under even more scrutiny.

he's surprisingly soft for a 220 lbs QB that is 6'2".

he could easily be at 200 lbs without losing any muscle...thats a pretty fragile QB...which is why the 100 million contract was dumb.

I've said for years he needs to add muscle so he's more durable.

I actually thought he looked a tad slimmer...

he has been drinking slim fast. Spread. the word. Might affect his ability to escape defenders who have him in their grasps.

He's never suffered a concussion and the only games he's missed were a result of a broken finger and a fractured collarbone. He's played with a punctured lung and cracked ribs. He's far from soft and fragile most QB's have suffered cracked ribs and have had hand and finger injuries it comes with being an NFL QB. There's several QB's in the league that have been beat up and had to be helped off the field more than Romo including Roethlisberger and Vick. Romo's taken a number of hits over his career and it took broken bones to keep him out of the lineup.

Thought this was a football forum.

Didn't realize I walked into TMZ.

Some of you need to adjust your skinny jeans, they're obviously a bit tight.

Did the cyst keep him from basketball and soccer?

Anything I say about golf would be tainted with bitterness, as I have never been able to master that volcano.

Romo's weight along with his golf comes up every year at this time. If the Cowboys weren't falling on their face at the end of every season and were making the playoffs no one would ever make an issue about Romo's weight or his golf. It's the same thing every offseason on this board Romo looks fat and he's playing too much golf.
