Romo, even in playing shape has a bit of a stomach. Nothing wrong with that, and given the factors that it's the offseason and he's coming off a surgery, I don't see how you could expect him to be in shape.

He's referring to the annual Romo-out-of-shape threads. But, to your point, Felix was apparently livin' large at PHI OTAs, too.

In fairness, Felix did look like a fatty. :D

Haven't you learned not to ask a question like THAT around here?

Even a hint of negativity about their god... and they'll eat you alive.

Not buying the surgery as an excuse.

I expect him to have a healthier muscle to body fat ratio, ESPECIALLY with him 33 years old now.

The older you get, the more it needs to become a priority...especially behind this offensive line!

Yeah, but a lot of people here said he didn't look out of shape and others said they were not worried about him at all since he was a "gym rat" etc.

Well, I don't think he actually will make 100 mil, but those people who are so judgmental should post a pic of themselves. Money does not have to make you stay in great shape. You can work at McDonalds and have a hard body.

I guess they would like Romo to look like skinny Vick that when he talks a hit he usually gets hurt during the season more than Romo. Vick could not take the punishment that Romo had taken.

According to reports after taxes Romo is the highest paid NFL QB so all the weight some think he's added this offseason has been to his shoulders. He signed a $108 million contract and regardless whether he sees all that money or not he's going to be held to a very high standard based off his contract. Money does have to make you stay in shape when you're the face of an NFL franchise. Romo like all players are being paid to stay in shape that's why teams have an offseason program with workout incentives. NFL football is a 12 month a year commitment it takes dedication to be a great player. Romo is being paid as a franchise QB not an employee at McDonalds. It makes no difference what body type a person has or what their conditioning is if they're an employee for a fast food chain. Romo's job description isn't as a caterer for a donut shop it's as an NFL QB which requires him being in top physical condition once we head into OTA's.

He's the leader of the team and has to set an example for every player especially the young players. A QB has to be the hardest working player on the team because so much money is invested in them. Romo looks no different to me than he has been looking. It's the way the season ended last year and his contract that makes him look bloated to some. As for Vick his size isn't really the problem it's the amount of hits he takes. He's a runner who's always relied on his wheels. He's added some bulk this offseason in an attempt to help absorb some of the punishment but unless the NFL allows QB's to wear airbags he's going to continue getting knocked out because concussions have been his biggest issue lately.

Define "bulk."

He's been eating dog meat. They say he imports it from China, but I have my doubts.

He's never suffered a concussion and the only games he's missed were a result of a broken finger and a fractured collarbone. He's played with a punctured lung and cracked ribs. He's far from soft and fragile most QB's have suffered cracked ribs and have had hand and finger injuries it comes with being an NFL QB. There's several QB's in the league that have been beat up and had to be helped off the field more than Romo including Roethlisberger and Vick. Romo's taken a number of hits over his career and it took broken bones to keep him out of the lineup.

He obviously has the ability to play through pain, but that doesn't change the fact that he can't take hits like a heavier QB can.

I've said this for a long time, he's tough in so far as he can play through pain, but he can't take many shots without breaking down from injuries..luckily he has great pocket presence

If you look closely at the picture you can also see that he doesn't tie his shoe laces the right way which is causing the WRs/OL/Play calling problems.

It's all real simple folks, Tony just needs to get it right and everything will be fine.

Oh and before I forget...another problem that he has is that he isin't using the right taco flavor for his beef. This is a direct correlation to the way the owner runs the team.
