Romo's weight along with his golf comes up every year at this time. If the Cowboys weren't falling on their face at the end of every season and were making the playoffs no one would ever make an issue about Romo's weight or his golf. It's the same thing every offseason on this board Romo looks fat and he's playing too much golf.
I know, I wish Romo would shut us up for once.

He does have a second chin forming, and that beard is probably to hide it, too. LOL

Lay off mama's cooking, Tony. And enough with the ho-ho's in the kitchen, too, not just the nightclubs, Papa Bear.

Besides this new wave of qbs coming in having muscles galore, romo fits right in to the older style qb body type. Brady both mannings Big Ben etc all are not in great shape. You don't need to be a model to be an nfl qb

Yes, he looks a little overweight. You can see it in his face and he'll need to put in a little extra work to get back into game shape.

I don't see why it's so difficult to admit the guy could have gained a little weight in the offseason and needs to work it off. It happens to a lot of guys and he just had a kid.

Usually about this time every year we hear about the things Romo has been trying to add to his game during the offseason, whether it's delivery, calm feet, etc but I wouldn't be surprised if that isn't the case this year, anyone who's ever had a child should know why.

This is the Internet. Discouraging words are lies.

Aikman is in terrific shape.

Aikman is in terrific shape and Romo would look in a lot better shape to some if he had 3 SB rings.

He's never suffered a concussion and the only games he's missed were a result of a broken finger and a fractured collarbone. He's played with a punctured lung and cracked ribs. He's far from soft and fragile most QB's have suffered cracked ribs and have had hand and finger injuries it comes with being an NFL QB. There's several QB's in the league that have been beat up and had to be helped off the field more than Romo including Roethlisberger and Vick. Romo's taken a number of hits over his career and it took broken bones to keep him out of the lineup.
This is a 100% correct. I've never questioned his physical toughness, he's as tough as they come, physically.

Look, everyone has a right to their opinion, but why do condescending and demeaning comments have to be used JUST because someone doesn't agree with your opinion?

Being the QB he is not going to shut up, press expects him to stand up and talk and he will just as all do.

I think you read his post wrong. He was saying he hopes Romo shuts his critics up for once. Unfortunately Romo hasn't been able to do that. The Washington game just fueled the fire even more.

So a photo of him in a baggy jersey? This is stupid, even by Cowboys fans standards. :laugh2:

I would like to see pictures of the guys/gals that criticize Romo.

Me either.

The thing is that you don't just criticize for gaining a little weight, YOU dog him for everything and anything!

I'm sure none of them are professional athletes who are making over $100 million. There's a lot of scrutiny that comes with making a lot of money and being the starting QB of an NFL team.

Critic will always find something to hammer him over. Funny if he and this team win 1 SB he goes from crap to great? Pretty simplistic mindset you critics have.

Well, I don't think he actually will make 100 mil, but those people who are so judgmental should post a pic of themselves. Money does not have to make you stay in great shape. You can work at McDonalds and have a hard body.

I guess they would like Romo to look like skinny Vick that when he takes a hit he usually gets hurt during the season more than Romo. Vick could not take the punishment that Romo had taken.

What would posting pictures of ourselves have anything to do with our opinion of Tony Romo when it comes to physical appearance and nutrition?

This...and he wears alot of ill-fitting clothes.

Only thing he wears fitted is his uniform. Everything else looks two-sizes too big.

Yep! Romo makes me feel better about my wardrobe. I think we have the same approach to sartorial excellence!
