Romo Now Has Unquestioned Leadership Role

Great thread ad.

The quote above is simply absolutely true.

Bump. The only thing I'd add is the thought (hope?) that to win it all you need just one really excellent side of the ball and the other can be merely above-average. If the offensive line gels, I have a hard time believing defenses can legally defend Austin, Bryant, Witten, and Felix. Look out.

Loved this post, I even sent it to my boss who doesn't follow football. I'm a manager in a software company and have 3 Kosier's, 1 Tyron Smith and 2 Gurode's. Guess what I would do with the 2 Gurode's if it was up to me.

Actually, it's difficult to say whether they're Gurode or Davis. Pro-bowler not responding or dead weight.

Speaking of know it all, love how you tossed in what ya do for a living PLUS decided in your own opinion of our the new guys are going to react WITHOUT knowing how the guys are going to react. You dont know what the OL is going to do because we dont know what HH will do with them. You are hoping like a fan what will happen, but concrete evidence is called that because when reality hits, well it just hurts.

We dont know which player is going to do what and we dont know what how the rookies will handle the NFL pressure. The game is a big gap from college and we are hoping this plan pans out, but like most of the older plans, it just might fall flat on its face.

And being 30 or even 30 plus isnt old and WE as people NOT dogs, can still learn. But there is way more to the game than just learning and we're going to have to see who has technique and the guts to play at this level. And frankly even with a youth movement its more productive to have your Oline men around 30 than it is say the RB.

Thats enuff from me.

Your opinions on football are the equivalent of pocket lit, insignificant, tiny, easily discard, and completely worthless.

By going out of your way to attempt to disparage my opinion, tells me a lot about you for I have encountered your type before so let me flex my know it all abilities to give you the verisimilitude.

I know you never kissed the girl, not the one you wanted, notwithstanding kissing the one you HAD to settle for. I know you were never celebrated academically, athletically, or career wise.

I really doubt you can count five people that even noticed you after you left any room. Your type will always be a hater; you will always taste the lemon in lemonade instead of relishing in the sweetness of the liquid goodness of lemonade. I am pretty sure you were in the group of fans that said we were too young in 1992. You probably barked that sentiment all the way to the super bowl.

Your type will always find the one gray cloud on a bright summer day, if you cannot find one, you would rather look for it instead of enjoying all of the possibilities that the day has to offer.

You probably hated getting rid of Flozell in favor of Free. Your type looks at the Mona Lisa and thinks that her smile looks funny. Whether drinking or pouring your glass is perpetually half-empty. People like me who routinely sips from a half full glass disturbs you and you know what, we love it.

Your misery, your foul, and misbegotten opinions are butter to our bread. We cannot exist without the Schleprock’s of the world. Your continuous dark cloud keeps it away from us. We are optimistic because things often go our way, we take the broken eggs to make omelets and we do not cry that the eggs are broken.

As a scholar, I love when I find irony in the damndest places. For example, your user ID is ShiningStar, yet the themes of your posts are anything but shinning. In future, I will think of you as DyingStar because your football opinions are decrepit, feeble, and void of life.

Our Offensive line will be OK. They are young, athletic, and very coachable. In other words, they are Shinning Stars, unlike yourself.

Thanks bro. Having the highest profile talent doesn’t mean much when that talent is not focused and motivated. My old timer is exceptionally bright but he is very stubborn, hence the reason he was assigned to my group until he retires.

That is very true, more so in this day and age of football.

I feel you. When people row in different directions or says screw it because of entitlement and does not row at all, makes it difficult for the entire team.

Besides, being a good player, Kosier has been a good soldier throughout. He is clearly an old dog that is willing and able to learn new tricks. Speaking of soldiers, there is a reason why the military does not actively recruit from older demographics; they are too hard to control and too set in their ways to conform. The strength of any organization whether it is football or company, etc, is the ability to conform around a specific goal and for the individuals to do what they suppose to do when it is time to do it.

The entire post was great but this bolded line is absolutely true for any group of people who need to work together. I've played on teams, been in corporate management, been a leader in churches, and raised a family and it is true for each and every one of those endeavors.

Great stuff big man!

Edit: Ha, I see that Big Dog beat me to it! :D

Thanks brother. You are truly a credit to the forum and I often look forward to reading your posts.

It is so true, that the collected strength of the committed outweighs the strengths of a collection of individuals. You hit the nail on the head with far fewer words, whether it is family, social events, or any task that requires more than one person to accomplish, being in sync is often the differential that decides success or failure.

So your whole theme is i wont engage in speaking to you, but ill choose to speak down to you. Okay i had figured we might disagree and maybe some pms and find common ground, now you just choose to say disagree with me and i will speak down to you without knowing anything about you. I get it, its teh same as before, you're welcome to opinion but if it dont agree with me you are stupid.

I didnt mind Free over Flozell but i wouldnt downgrade anything Flozell did while he was here.

I would have loved to converse on this more, but you completely have said i am going to take a glimpse of your life, run with it and choose to downgrade you so i feel better about myself. I am sorry you choose to be that single minded, but i cant foresee how everyone will react to every poster so unlike you, i will just say we disagreed on it and move on. Hopefully somewhere down the road, if you have any good friends and im sure you do, for i dont choose to follow the same path, maybe they can explain it to you.

When you are soaring with the eagles and the other birds of prey it is difficult to converse with the chicken littles.

So don't act all victim now when you came into a perfectly civil thread and instigated the outcome.

I told you I know your type and you do not deserve pity or one iota of remorse. I know I am not the only one to have talked down to you, you would think you should be accustomed to it by now. Change your ways and the outcomes will be different, keep up the foolishness and the outcomes will remain the same.

I don't suffer fools logic and I make no apologies for it.

Perfect response, oh noes he called me on it now i have to dig it in deeper and insult more. As long as it makes you feel better. :D
