By all accounts Owens is a very nice guy and a good friend.

Old News. Read that weeks ago. For all intents and purposes everyone was sympathetic to Romo's pain. TO did what good teammates do. He doesn't get a cookie as far as I'm concerned.

Speaks volumes for the relationship these two have. Owens knows that his career can be defined by his years in Dallas if he gets a ring and gives Dallas it's 6th Super Bowl. All the Garcia is gay, McNabb sucks, snitching, cycling, sleeping, wont matter if hes holding up a trophy next year.

I feel he got his cookie after our rookie WR's praised him for helping them in the practices. I remember reading that he used his time to help them understand the routes better. He also would run the routes to help them understand it better. He has a bad history....the media is against him....but he is a Dallas Cowboy.

Not to me. Only to the people who makes TO's actions (positive/negative) out to be more than what they are. TO did a good thing, but it's what should be the norm not the exception.

Roy doesn't get a cookie for consoling Romo. Hasselbeck doesn't get a cookie for sympathizing with Romo. Four weeks have passed and Romo's fine. Glad all the well wishes helped him get over it.

Romo did in fact say he was a great teammate in his opinion.

I'm not knocking the fact that TO's a good teammate. I'm glad he is. He just doesnt get extra props for being a good teammate.

It is a shame that it turned out to be the exception and not the norm in this case, according to Romo.

It really doesn't matter what you or I think about it, but it is nice that Owens took the time, and that Romo was appreciative of Owens' gesture.

I agree it was a good gesture on TO part. As for it being the exception that is not exactly true. Romo just said no one text messaged him as much as TO he did not say no one else did. Witten is very close to Romo and was very supportive of him according to Romo but no one made a big deal out of that.
