I still don't want him on my team.
Good thing he's a Cowboy then and not a member of your team.

Romo just said no one text messaged him as much as TO he did not say no one else did. Witten is very close to Romo and was very supportive of him according to Romo but no one made a big deal out of that.
WV Cowboy;1377733 said:Romo said about Owens reaching out, "Not a lot of people did that.”
That to me says exception and not the rule.
Nobody said "noone else text messaged Romo", except you.
I made just a big of a deal about Witten as I did Owens in my first post after reading Romo's comments a couple of weeks ago. I mentioned them both because Romo did, and I felt it was great that both reached out to Tony.
Some guys seem to find fault with every little thing Owens does or says, at least give him a pinch of credit for this nice thing he did, and leave it at that.
I am sure something will happen soon enough that you can find a way to bad mouth him about.

Doomsday101;1377747 said:I also think it was a good move on TO part to talk with Phillips and hope that relationship works out better than past relationships with other coaches.
Phillips told the media.WV Cowboy;1377792 said:Dooms, how did we find out about that phone call. That is a phone call that nobody ever needed to know about.
Was it Owens that talked about it, .. was it Phillips ?
If Owens told the media about it, he shouldn't have.

Doomsday101;1377803 said:I think Phillips was asked recently and said that TO called him TO told the press that he talked with Phillips and went on about Wade being a players coach and looking forward to playing for him. I don't see it as an issue of who talked 1st.
WV Cowboy;1377807 said:Not if it was Phillips. I didn't know that, I'm glad he brought it up and not Owens.

Team cancer at work. Move to one side.
He gets raked over the coals by some for saying he wants the ball, yet he's the top target for balls in the NFL. And the issue wouldn't be so big, if he hadn't dropped some balls at some of the most critical points in games. He had a legit gripe about not getting the ball EARLIER in some games, but when you're leading the league in targeted throws AND drops, it's annoying to hear the complaints about not getting balls thrown your way.Aikmaniac;1377789 said:But he does get raked over the coals for wanting the ball like all receivers do.
Sure he does...by both sides. Every good thing he does shouldn't be magnified to make a point about how he's not as bad as the big bad media... And every bad thing shouldn't be magnified to make a point about how he's a cancer. At some point, the guy deserves some sort of break.
I'm pretty sure he does that already, we just don't hear about it...and it wouldn't matter either way.Does he need to start kissing babies and giving to the poor?

I'm glad TO reached out to him, but it is time to move on and focus on the future. When Romo announced that he was holding at the Pro Bowl I am not sure what reaction he was looking for. Did he want everyone to say what a brave soul he was or what? People make mistakes all the time, just accept it and move on.
Honestly though...did anyone think that our D could hold them from kicking the gaem winning FG? There was over a minute left and Brown has been clutch...we were going to lose whether he got that hold down or not, IMO.
