Put Romo on those Pitt teams and Romo has AT LEAST two SB rings.

BEN R.

I feel both have good field vision, nice arms, accurate, escapability, smarts. Ben gets my knod cause he has something that cant be taught,SIZE. His size and toughness to sit and take the hit for the throw makes him a better QB as of now. Opinions?
Is this a question about the NFL in general or does it have something to do with the Cowboys?

I said this after his stupid motorcycle accident. I knew he probably had a concussion after all of that. Once a QB starts getting repeated concussions their football career is on its way down. Ben is a big guy but he still rides his defense and running game more than Romo ever has. Ben is perfect for their system, but if he is still starting in 4 fours I will be surprised. His injury history has shortened his career IMO.

That's not true... If we're comparing threats, production-wise, our receiving corps stacks up pretty good. Miles, Roy, Crayton, Witten, and Ogletree.

Miles = Hines
Witten > Heath Miller
Crayton = Mike Wallace
Santonio Holmes > Roy E.
Ogletree > Limas Sweed

You're pretty much right. I was wrong, although I'd say just based purely on production...

Austin > Ward
Wallace > Crayton
Holmes >> Williams (Biggest glaring difference by far.)
Ogletree > Galloway

Miles Austin
81 catches
1320 yards
11 touchdowns

Hines Ward
95 catches
1167 yards
6 touchdowns

Jason Witten
94 catches
1004 yards
2 touchdowns

Heath Miller
76 catches
789 yards
6 touchdowns

Patrick Crayton
37 catches
622 yards
5 touchdowns

Mike Wallace
39 catches
756 yards
6 touchdowns

Santonio Holmes
79 catches
1248 yards
5 touchdowns

Roy Williams
38 catches
596 yards
7 touchdowns

Kevin Ogletree
7 catches
96 yards
0 touchdowns

Limas Sweed didn't really get any time this year, so Joey Galloway
7 catches
67 yards
0 touchdowns

We're not exactly disagreeing.

The whole point is that the Ben's targets aren't any better than Romo's. The pass distribution is different, but it's not like the 'boys fielded a bunch of scrubs.

Romo's and Ben's are virtually equal in a number of stats. I don't think either team would be mad with either QB at the helm.

The most glaring difference is in the number of sacks taken and the yards lost as a result.

I used to be so down on Big Ben, but then it seemed like every Pitts game I would watch, if they were down and needed a score to win or tie the game, Big Ben got them there every single time.

I will stick with Romo just because I can, but Ben isnt a chump.

I am trying to be as objective as I can when I say this, but I would NOT trade Romo for Ben. I don't think Ben is in the top 10 anymore.

Here is a list of QB's that I think are better than Ben:

Peyton Manning
Tom Brady
Matt Schaub
Tony Romo
Drew Brees
Phillip Rivers
Kurt Warner
Donovan McChunks
Aaron Rogers
Brett "Aww Shucks" Favre
Matt Ryan

Put me down for Romo. The reason is very simple. It's true Roethlisberger has two rings but to this point he also has something else that Romo has NEVER had. A DOMINATE defense. That luxary all too often is overlooked and never should be. Big Ben can suck all day long and his defense can win the game without him. See Super Bowl 40 and countless other games since he became the starter in 2004. On the other hand if Romo plays poorly, Dallas has a ZERO chance to win the game. He doesn't always have to throw for 300 yards and 3TDs but he can't have a bad game. If he does, we lose. PERIOD. This doesn't mean I think Roethlisberger isn't any good. Obviously he is a good QB. Just has had much more to work with to this point in both their careers. Hopefully that's about to change.

As a QB Romo is better all around. The only reason why Big Ben has 2 rings is the team around him. In the end football is a team sport, Big Ben had a team around him that didn't need him to play stellar Romo has one around him that needs him to play stellar. Romo's more skillful than Big Ben, just look at the numbers

He's only two years younger, not "quite a bit" exactly... But I get your point of him being the younger of the two.

Ben can't last long being a tackling dummy

There sure as heck is, I just like repping my Coastal Carolina av because that's where I go to school. But when it comes to taking sides, go Tigers!

Romo is our guy but what I like about Ben is that he has proven he can win from behind...

Yeah but Big Ben rapes women, Romo rapes defenses. I'll take Romo.

Do you know that happened for sure? I wouldn't go around saying ill advised statements like that without knowing the facts.

Ben has more threats on his team for him to go to. Hines Ward, Santonio Holmes, Mike Wallace, and Limas Sweed are good receivers, not to mention Heath Miller. And don't forget about Joey Galloway, he sucks, but they had him for a while.

You really need to study facts before typing with your mouth.
