But although he personally likes Dak, I have to wonder if he thinks he's a true franchise guy vs being just average.

We had a team good enough to win it all in 2014. Garrett gets credit for that. Romo knows that team was good and he knows Garrett was the coach.

I doubt Romo looks back on his career and thinks he never had a chance because Garrett was his coach.

Again, you don’t think there is any way he is thinking Dak Prescott when asked that question?

A good % of Romo's success are on busted plays. Just watch his highlights. I think Romo knows where their success came from and it wasn't from the coach.

Yes because it wasn’t a conventional run game. They threw a lot of things at the team and they had no idea where the ball was.

There is no excuse for our team to give up 270 yards. None.
