Williams best year was arguably his rookie year not talking playoffs included other wise the year they beat the Lions, his stats were virtually the same, look at them. Williams was one of the worst number 2s, Dez is not Dez without precise throws and part of the reason he is out of the league now, when you have a 24 inch window you have to hit you make the qbs job pretty hard. Dak is still young he has time, but I believe the fan base is tired of mediocrity, maybe this is more on Garret than anything, but as it stands now Dak is an AVERAGE quarterback. Romo was borderline elite. I really like Dak's personality and his heart and his story, and I want him to be better than Romo I just don't see that happening, hopefully it is Garret holding him back we can suck this year and get a new coach. He did play well enough for the team to win here, we couldn't tackle, our safety play sucked, our oline wasn't great either, receivers did miss a few catches, but Dak missed plenty of open receivers too.

We have to stop with the narrative that Dez needed precise throws to succeed because his highlight reels says otherwise. Last year was a bad year, and Dez dropped more balls than usual. However, Prescott missed Dez on a lot of throws. Had Dez snagged half of Dak’s misfires, he would’ve had over 1,000 yds.

The way romo pointed out the Blitzer and knew where he was coming from tells me Dak is not the answer. 3 years later and still unable to read defenses. What film is this guy watching? Thats what seperates the good qbs from the bad ones.
He doesn't watch film. Too busy fishing and hanging out

Ton of what? Not sure of what you watched either. Cause we never made it to the NFC Championship game. So, he didn't too much.

A ton of great QB play (which is all he can do).

Teams get to chamiponship games. That's not something individual players do.

Lol. Dak was the reason they had to try that 52 yarder for a tie. 2 fumbles 1 being an easy TD. Missed wide open receivers. But you don't care do ya? Dak for President. Sign him Jerry, the fans want more DAK. Make him the highest paid QB so some of the fans will be happy.
Damn you just stuck it in and turned the knife. This a segment and aspect in all of society that completely baffle me in terms of their delusion

Romo should shut the hell up. How quickly he forgets his even worse game-costing flaws. He sucked and choked very badly during many situations for many years. These highlights is only a small limited sample of how much Romo had serious game-costing flaws in his game.

Yeah the announcer should shut the he'll up because its not like its his job to talk or anything. Don't talk about my Daky Pooh

The individualism means nothing to the team if they aren't winning. He was more known for his blunders (ill-timed interceptions and fumbles) than anything. He was smart, I'll give him that. But a ton? That's a stretch.

Definitely smarter then the god like football I.Q, of Dak... that is for sure. Starting to think Dak doesn't actually retain information very well. Since he does the same dumb things constantly. Maybe we should have him put on adderall, so he can focus lol.

Kinda reminds you of 2006-2015 huh?
Not exactly. I remember us taking the lead in numerous games, to have the defense allow a score, and us having to do something desperate again at the very end. If we had this year's defense in those years, we would have won 2-4 more games. Instead of 8-8, we would have had 10-6 or 12-4 type seasons.

First off, we all know Dak doesn't see a lot of open receivers, or he just knows he can't make the throws to them.

People that don't agree on that, do not watch the other video angles later.

NFL separation is not College separation...

When Dak does actually make a descent decision and pass... The receiver drops it, or the offensive line decides to get a penalty.

WHICH... proves things have to be near perfect for Dak to succeed. Well... ask Romo... things are never going to be perfect in Dallas.

Some of those sacks, didn't need to happen. The one in the endzone was completely ridiculous.

Dak looked terrified to me, before he was checked out for a concussion... I personally think he was terrified that another QB would step in and Romo him. Lucky for him, we don't have a QB that
can more than likely do it either. White, I don't even think was dressed for the game. But that was what I felt the worried look on his face was. Dak is terrified someone will take all this away. That
is also one of the reasons he was in the Eagles game last year.

I don't think Dak needs to worry too much though. Jerry will sign him to a huge contract and we will have about 10 more years of going nowhere... Just like all the previous 23 years.
Heck we will probably keep the receivers we have as well lol.

This is the same reason when people talk about Dak, they talk about those great intangibles:

  • Leadership
  • Work ethic
  • Representing the team well
  • Just an all around great human being

Blah... Blah... Blah...

They don't talk about:

  • His great decision making
  • His incredible arm
  • His amazing mechanics
  • His awesome ability to sense pressure
  • His impressive anticipation on his throws
------------------------------------------
It is only his 3rd year. He only started playing QB when he got to the NFL :lmao:, he will learn all of this by his 6th year. Just wait... be patient. <--- sarcasm intended
------------------------------------------

By the time he gets it, we will have had a whole team rotation again.
Well, Garrett may after the whole team rotation, have his training wheels taken off by then....

I wish the NFL would give us, the fans, an option to watch the game with a camera view from behind the QB. I like the the view that let's me see in real time what players are open, getting open when the QB decides to throw the ball.

The Tony Romo over-achiever curse hits Dak.

I really am not interested in seeing how great someone is in digging themselves out of a hole that they put themselves in, in the first place. Rah Rah Rah. Whoop De Doo

Romo has the luxury of seeing things in the media box and he earned his knowledge of the game after 14 seasons.

His criticism is valid to be sure of Dak, so on this point I will agree.

However, Romo himself could look brilliant at times and at other times look like a blunder real.

He struggled in critical games and never took us to a championship game much less a SB (we know it is a team sport but even with those good seasons we never got there).

Romo was an above average QB in my view, understood the game, was an excellent pass thrower most of the time but struggled with throwing dumb interceptions at critical times in the game which often undercut him from further success.

He had 14 years to get it right and ultimately came up short in terms of winning an NFC title or SB Chamionship, that is how you were judged in the past in Dallas.

This does not diminish his ability one bit and I acknowledge he had to put the crappy franchise on his back many of those seasons with little help from the morons running the team in the dirt, he deserved better.
