Tony the tiger has 2 of the top 7 best QB performances of the year on ESPN QBR rating. And this weekends Giants game was one of them.

He's also the 2nd best QB in the league for seasons games combined.

Every week I have felt he looks a little better but still doesn't look completely right.

Yesterday against the Giants when he threw that TD to Williams I thought to myself that he is back.

Romo is looking like Romo again.

I think the biggest factor for Romo is he does not have to do it all. In past season the offense relied all on Tony, which in turn forced Romo to try to do too much at times. Romo is a great QB not some bus driver but now he has a team around him that is sharing the load.

What I love about this offense is that it's not all on Romo anymore but when this team needs for him to put the cape on and make big time plays he can still do that. The difference is, that not what has to happen multiple times a game to win every week. A few clutch 3rd down throws, a strong drive in the 4th gets the job done.

His performance against the Giants was the best performance I had seen from him in a while. It was the best since Garrett took over.

The biggest improvement I saw from the Giants game was how Romo moved in the pocket which was night and day better than last year.

Last year he would not see Dez getting open despite having plenty of time to throw. When he would see Dez, it was usually on a broken play and often times Romo was the one creating the broken play by unnecessarily jumping out of the pocket.

He's been much better this year and in particular in the Giants game. His pocket presence was like the pocket presence of old. Sure, the O-Line gave him plenty of time, but he was creating some time for himself as well by sliding around in the pocket and stepping up into the pocket, finding passing lanes and firing the ball into the receiver. He's moving around in the pocket like he used to in '06 and '07 before he tried to emulate Tom Brady and hang far back into the pocket which was a bad move because Romo is not built like Brady nor does he have the same skillsets.

Refreshing to watch when paired with a great O-Line.

I think it's taken him a little bit longer to buy into the system than we would have liked. I can't blame him, but I feel like he always felt phantoms of pass rush even when it wasn't there (getting killed between 2010-2012 would do that to anyone). I think he looks like he did back in the day because the team around him is good enough to support what he IS good at.

Romo is as good a QB as anyone out there. He has a line that protects him and a running attack that was nonexistent for his years in Dallas. Look at how some of the "Elite" quarterbacks are fairing with much less talent than they are used too having around them. Tony is playing some of his best football and doesn't have to feel like it's all on his back. Glad he is getting the recognition that is well desrved.

romo seems to get better each week.yesterday he played probably his best game of the year. if he stays healthy i think the sky is the limit for this offense. and whats really amazing is what we are doing on 3rd downs. 3rd downs are the key to being able to run the ball. if you can't convert 3rd downs, like we could'nt last year it's hard to stick to the run. yesterday they were on fire onn 3rd downs and they are doing great for the year

Somehow this got left out:

Tony's QB Rating is 104.7

Yup, highest completion percentage in the league.
2nd in the NFC in yards per attempt.
2nd in the NFC in TD's

My Giants buddy (and avid Romo hater) texted me and said "Romo's horrible" during the game... I don't think he had an incompletion after that text! LOL

You should have texted him back after the game and asked him to text you that same message before every game and then said Thank you.

Yep just another day of Romo being Romo.

The big thing now is that with that O-line giving him time, and a fantastic running game (Along with Murray playing so great) now Romo doesn't have to go into games feeling like it's all on him and he has to do everything.

And paired with a serviceable defense. I feel Romo always had the pressure of feeling like we needed to score on every possession to have a chance to win and thus forced a lot of plays that at times ended badly. Now, he has a running game to lean on and defense that can get off the field in 3rd downs. This allows Romo to take what is there and if it isn't there, live to play another possession. With a more complete team, we are getting to witness how good Romo has always been. If Romo were in Seattle, I truly belive he would have had 3 rings by now.
