Romo has always had good stats during the regular season for the most part. Where Romo struggles is in win and you're in/ playoff games. If you compare the stats from those games with his regular season stats, you will see it. I have said it here a million times. Romo struggling in those type of games is my biggest fear right now. I know we are going to the playoffs and hoping we win 1st or 2nd seed in the NFC. Our offensive line can only do so much against great defenses out there. So when he does get pressure in those playoff games, how will he handle it? If he handles it the same way he has in the past. We are screwed. This will be his best chance in his career to prove the naysayers wrong.

Before the season started didn't you say there was no chance of us making the playoffs? Lol

I disagree. Romo is still the same Romo. He has always been able to amaze and put up good numbers. He is just being helped this season my the excellent running game and O-line. But unfortunately that same Romo will also make bonehead plays and lose big games. Just wait and see...

Because he is on a good team, best record in the NFC, very easy schedule remaining, great offensive coordinator, and there are no dominant NFC teams right now.
Sounds like you're saying that having a well-coached, good team around him for elimination games would affect how he performs. That you'd expect him to have more confidence in his team, and be less likely to press, or at the very least have a greater margin of error if those first two things don't happen.

This novel idea of yours makes sense.

Sure, him having a much better team/coaching to help make up for his mistakes, lack of confidence, and leadership in elimination games could help the team win.

Rewind.

How would the Cowboys' winning a game despite Romo add up to Romo proving the naysayers wrong?

Well, because both could happen. The team could help carry Romo and if Romo is throwing the ball less, then there is a smaller % of him making a dumb decision/choking. Just because the % is less doesn't mean he won't still choke though. But because the % could be less, then it gives him the best chance to prove the naysayers wrong.

Tony the tiger has 2 of the top 7 best QB performances of the year on ESPN QBR rating. And this weekends Giants game was one of them.

He's also the 2nd best QB in the league for seasons games combined.

Tony has really played lights out, and has quit throwing those mind numbing picks.
Happy to see the 49er game was just a bad day.

So you're saying he's less likely to make a mistake if he throws fewer passes. And being on a good, well-coached team means he can afford to throw fewer passes.

You make sense, ufc.

I think you are learning, dude! Word of the day is "team".

Is "elimination games" the same as those pesky "spotlight games" or one of them "win or go home games"?

90 posts? I bet you're a troll. What part of "team game" are you not understanding? Around 2005 colts fans were ready to run Peyton out of town saying he was nothing but a regular season monster but choked in the playoffs. The narrative seems to be different on him now huh? Same with Romo he was carrying a garbage team and now that the team has improved he is getting the results 6-1 but he's been playing like this the whole time. I bet you're gonna be upset when the self destruct doesn't happen.

I'll love it if Romo can get us to the promise land, I just don't think he can do it. I'm not a troll, I'm just a diehard Cowboys fan that remembers all of Romo's screw ups. I pray he makes me eat crow.

What does how many posts I have, have to do with anything?

clearly you are not a diehard fan or you would remember the many times he has brought this team back; and it was usually the fault of someone else when we could not make it. So frankly you are a troll.

I do remember the good and the bad with Romo and I already said I'd be glad to eat crow if he can take us to the promised land. I'm just not buying it YET. That doesn't make me a troll.

Well, stop thinking about Romo and concentrate on the team.

Nobody is selling you anything. Stop thinking what was, think what could be.
