Amazing what an offensive line will do for a QB no?

This isn't a "new" Tony guys. This is the same guy that 'some' of us have appreciated all this time. He just now has an extra second to throw the ball.

Romo will play good enough to make you believe in him and then he will turn into a turn over machine.

The Ravens OL sucked last year and look at how their QB play suffered. Same with Eli.

The QB can't do it all by himself.

If the OL can stay healthy, the sky is the limit for Romo this year.

That "if" is a giant one. When is the last time that happened and resulted in us reaching our goals? Romo will blow this in due time. I don't believe in him.

False.
This is a Romo I don't think we've ever seen before. Not having to single-handedly win games, using the run game, having a great o-line...he looks unstoppable. He has never looked this good. This is Romo on a different level.

I disagree. Romo is still the same Romo. He has always been able to amaze and put up good numbers. He is just being helped this season my the excellent running game and O-line. But unfortunately that same Romo will also make bonehead plays and lose big games. Just wait and see...

I guess I'm saying, the consistency and there are borderline zero mistakes. Even in years prior, when he's had to pull a rabbit out of a hat, he'd make some mistakes. He's not really doing that. He's automatic at the moment.

The issue was that in years past he had to pull rabbits out of a hat far more often. The percentages catch up to you at some point.
He still had 31 TDs and only 10 ints last year.

But yes, I think the guy has found ways to improve his game every year he's been in the league--even if he does regress (like all of us) at times.
The job is just a bit easier with that run game and not having to play catch up all the time.

I think the main thing is that he doesn't feel like he has to push things to the limit to win. Even doing that he has the most comeback wins since 2006.

I don't know...he looked pretty damn good in the second half of 2009...the line simply let him down in Minnesota. He should be better though, having more seasons since then under his belt. He can now have more situational awareness in a game...something he has not always been able to do because of having to carry the team. The game is going to slow down a lot for him this year if everything stays to current form. He will be ready to take on the playoffs with more confidence, should they make it there.

Gotta love Romo. At the start of the season I was generally concerned, he just didn't look right. But as the season progressed he's looked better than ever, I think that can be attributed to the play of the offensive line and Murray. The commitment to the run was a real surprise and finally a well balanced offense is showing what this team can really do (Not to mention the incredible play of the defense as well).

But
Tony the tiger has 2 of the top 7 best QB performances of the year on ESPN QBR rating. And this weekends Giants game was one of them.

He's also the 2nd best QB in the league for seasons games combined.
But I s he "elite"? Ha, I'm kidding, sick of hearing that debate and word

The same tired narrative that has been parroted in the media and on espn for years that doesn't require any thinking skills. Thankfully starting last year that thought process has changed by much of the media because they realized Romo is not the problem. Romo has been fantastic, but the team around him has been terrible. Romo has carried this team on his back for so long he has required surgery on it. Now that the team around Romo had improved, Dallas no longer needs his magic on every play to just be competitive.

Romo is in the top 5 QB rating of all time, so this talk of how it is only a matter of time before he screws it up is just ridiculous.

And he has that top 5 qb rating of all time while playing on some bad teams. Imagine Eli Manning behind the line that Romo had a couple of years ago...oh yeah, he lead the league in Ints last year with that line and was abysmal.

Cowboys' fans better appreciate what we have hear before he's gone.

Romo has always had good stats during the regular season for the most part. Where Romo struggles is in win and you're in/ playoff games. If you compare the stats from those games with his regular season stats, you will see it. I have said it here a million times. Romo struggling in those type of games is my biggest fear right now. I know we are going to the playoffs and hoping we win 1st or 2nd seed in the NFC. Our offensive line can only do so much against great defenses out there. So when he does get pressure in those playoff games, how will he handle it? If he handles it the same way he has in the past. We are screwed. This will be his best chance in his career to prove the naysayers wrong.

same old drivel. AS USUAL

why don't you look up Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, etc and see what their playoff stats are compared to regular season.

GUESS WHAT THEY ARE LOWER.

And this whole win or go home was conjured up by haters like you specifically for Romo. Which makes it total and complete garbage.

AS USUAL.

I wish I could buy what you are selling but I refuse to be fooled by Romo ever again. Man, are you going to be upset when Romo self-destructs.

90 posts? I bet you're a troll. What part of "team game" are you not understanding? Around 2005 colts fans were ready to run Peyton out of town saying he was nothing but a regular season monster but choked in the playoffs. The narrative seems to be different on him now huh? Same with Romo he was carrying a garbage team and now that the team has improved he is getting the results 6-1 but he's been playing like this the whole time. I bet you're gonna be upset when the self destruct doesn't happen.
