I guess all the Romo pimping now is more valid since he had a TD pass in a real game, but it still was in garbage time. Even Randy Cross said the Texans probably weren't expecting us to throw at 27-6.

I agree. Nice to see him throw a TD, but the Texans likely were thinking run.

I'd like a reporter to ask Parcells why he threw the ball down there with such a commanding lead and why throw it to TO.

Romo's pass to Hurd was a prime example of why he should be the starter. Romo is able to complete it, while bledslow in that same situation he would have been sacked. Romo would make our O-line look better than it is while bledslow makes our o-line look worse than it is.

I want Romo to start too, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

That throw, if made in a close game, would have been risky.

A better defender playing the ball could have intercepted the ball.

Good to know we have a capable backup. However, anyone who is calling for Romo at this point in the season needs have their head examined.

Drew is gone if he stinks vs. Giants in first half.book it.

Anyone watch the interview BP had with Babe? He said he thought about putting in Romo. We face another team blitzing us to death we will see Romo. So I agree with you Juckie.

I'm not sure any defender could have turned his body around and made a play on the ball. Hurd was really the only person in a position to catch it. It was a bit of gamble, of coures, but tossing it up to a receiver that is 6+ inches taller than the corner that is covering man to man is always a risk worth taking.

What? When did he say this? At what point was he considering putting him in?

He's lucky the throw to Hurd wasn't intercepted. It was under thrown and the defender took his eye off it. Could have been a real stinker.

None of the defenders were in a position to catch the ball.

True stats about Romo as of 10/15:

He has never thrown in incomplete pass nor an interception in his entire NFL career.

Half the time he passes he throws a TD pass.

He has never taken a sack in his entire career.

100% completion percentage

He has won every game he has played in.

Romo played ? They cut into the wash vs tenn game cause the cowboys game was a blow out.

darn, would have liked to see him play.

Actually had the ball been thrown in front of Hurd it probably would have been picked by the safety who had rolled over.....not sure it was intended to be underthrown, but it was the best possible spot.

actually underthrown balls are alot harder for the defender to get if the wideout doesnt beat them. romo just looks more like a guy who wants that job

Very true on the first long pass. But the second pass for the TD to T.O. was a thing of beauty. He was even getting hit when he threw it. As a matter of fact, he got hit on both of those passes.

He does not get rattled . . . I like that.

That was in Eagles game,so he is getting close to letting Romo play if they send the wolves.

I suspect some will think that will be my angle. No way. He made a meaningful pass in a relevant game. I'm thrilled for him, I hope he gets more playing time and continues to show this kind of poise under fire.

He's now done something which will garner praise and credit from me. A red letter day for those who hate my QB elitism.

Everyone loves the backup QB but we forget how smallish he is,I'm not sure he can throw over a big line for 16 Games, I'm not sure he could get sacked 52 times like Bledsoe did last season and still take every snap, we forget sometimes how tough Drew is and how tough you need to be week in and out.

Romo can move. He wouldn't take 52 sacks. Bledsoe is tough. He's good if he's upright, but he seems to be shellshocked in this stage of his career.

Romo would never sit in the pocket and just wait for the rushers to collapse onto him, he would be out.

I've never seen a group of fans just follow something so blindly....

When Eli Manning threw the SAME PASS to Burress against Philly in OT... He was "lucky" and Buress made it happen.

Romo throws 2 passes in garbage time... 1 off his back foot that is underthrown and Hurd makes a great play on, and he's the next Troy Aikman.
Bledsoe didnt' turn the ball over... played smart and threw away a couple balls instead of risking it, threw 2 TD's and he is still getting slammed? oooook.

I also love the hypocracy of that Romo made a great throw to Hurd, But Bledsoe trusting TO to snag his 2nd TD was stupid....

It's laughable what i read here.... If Drew cured cancer you'd all complain he didn't cure AIDS too, then say that Romo would cure all the other diseases if he ahd Bledsoe's lab.
