I think that's a little misleading.

Take away the highest and lowest, Denver and KC (48 and 16), and that probably looks a lot different. Schedule also played its part (STL, Minny, Oak, GB at home vs. SD, NO, Chi, DET on the road).

No. It far from misleading Future.
I was referring to HOME games with Romo starting

The scored
36
31
48
31
27
31
36

There nothing remotely deceptive about that. You can't get more consistent than that...scoring-wise.

Then the one game he didn't play?
12 points below average and 5 below the worst all year.

I guess I am missing your point then? Of course the offense is better with Romo.

I don't agree that it was wildly better at home than it was on the road, especially considering the quality of competition, and the defenses they played against. You had OAK and Denver at home while KC and SD were on the road. You could easily make the argument that Dallas wasn't going to score much more than 16 against KC regardless of where they played...and you could say that they would easily score 31 against Oakland on the road as well.

You'd also have to keep defensive/ST touchdowns in mind. They had 2 of them against NYG the first game...which means the offense really only scored 22 by my math. The W against Washington at home Dwayne Harris scored on a PR, knocking that 31 to 24. Plus, he had a 90-yard KR and had more total return yards than the offense lol. Nick Hayden recovered a fumble against Minny for a TD, knocking the offense down to 20 points.

The numbers alone that you post don't tell the whole story, hence, they are a bit misleading...especially when comparing the performance of the offense at home vs. on the road.

I see.

My original point (not directed at you) was in response that the result was not different with Orton.
I just pointed out that one home game Romo did not play was by far the lowest scoring home game, 12 points below average, and also the only loss vs division opponents out of 6 tries.

You don't think Kyle Orton could win us one playoff game in 8 years if he was a full time starter like Romo?

No I don't think so. Orton would not even have the team at 8-8 last year, most of that was Romo!

And, to top it off, Orton does not even seem committed to football, Romo is. Romo has given his body up for this lousy team the last few years and is still wanting to compete even though the defense let him down last year. Orton would have never lasted the season. But, keep on with the hate, you screen name fits you good...a perfect troll name.

If a guy like David Garrad can lead his team to an 11-5 season and beat the Steelers in the playoffs, I don't see why Kyle Orton couldn't win us one playoff game if you gave him 8 consective years t do so.

And most of that wasn't Romo. We would have definitely won that that Packers game if Romo doesn't do his magic in the 4th quarter. Or that Bears game.. Or that Saints game...

So In actuality, the offense score around 22 points at home 3 other times last year. Good research.

Wut.... Blaming Romo for the Packers, Bears, and Saints games? Three of the worst defensive performances we've ever seen. I'm guessing that's not new for you.
