Romo road record

Ughh what kind of lame post was that?

Why don't you go ahead and change your sig, get an avatar, and take a bath. You smell like a troll and it's unpleasant.

And FYI it's one of the many stats that can be used to illustrate what a talented QB Tony Romo is.

Meh. I'd rather have him in the discussion when it comes to playoff wins and appearances. You can keep these "stats". Do people even worry about these kind of stats? I've never heard any talking head or fans talk about consecutive TDs in a road game. Like that really means anything. It clearly does not translate to success.

He does't play defense.

But yes, I think we all would prefer playoff success . These stats are more individual things vs playoff appearances and success being far more a total team thing.

I realize you must know that,but it's worth mentioning..again.

I think the point that almost anybody with an IQ over 50 gets is that we are not losing because of Romo.

Do people even worry about these kind of stats? Well, obviously yes, duh. Or they wouldn't be kept track of. It's called an "individual stat", which is often what's used to gauge an individual's performance. And this next part might sound even more shocking- but we can then evaluate the individual stats of a team's members and it will help us identify what areas are strengths vs weakness. Crazy huh?

I also noticed you mentioned "playoff wins" and "playoff appearances". Those are team stats my friend. I usually try to steer clear of using team stats to judge an individual (seems silly doesn't it?). And I reckon those particular team stats will improve if and when our defense does. It should be blatantly obvious to any fan of this team that if our defense gets better we will be in the playoffs.

It's all we got when we talk about Romo.

All stats are team stats. Romo's TD record wouldn't happen if a WR or TE didn't catch the ball.

My God, the butt hurt of some people when Romo's name is mentioned in a positive light is legendary around here....this thread didn't say "Tony is the greatest QB of all time and here is the ONE stat to prove it"......
...now, the Romo-haters would be in their glory if you put something more meaningful to them in here like "Romo leads the league in hot, blonde, famous chicks".....

It's all we gotwhen we talk about Romo.

Matt Scaub has an NFL record for most consecutive tds when playing In Reliant Stadium, with a noon start, after the University of Texas has played there the night before. I also saw Aaron Brooks ranks third on that list, look Romo is a top ten qb he doesnt need these superficial stats to prop him up his play speaks for itself.

I'm not even going to waste my time with this completely ridiculous nonsense. Just because it's a team sport it doesn't mean that there's no such thing as "individual stats" or "individual accomplishments". The fact that you made that statement indicates to me that you're not going to understand that concept.

Good day.

No I'm just agreeing with you that football is a team sport. If people are going to discount Romo's faults in blaming everyone else when he makes a mistake then the same thing applies when he does great. You can't have it both ways.

Yeah, more than almost any other sport, all stats in football have some team contribution involved.
Some are just 50x more than others.
But it's also one of the only sports where even the best players can only impact 1/3 to 1/2 of the game.
QBs for example, obviously don't play defense ( nearly half the game) or kick FGs, or return kicks, or block, or usually run, etc, etc, etc.

Oh well. Such a simple concept shouldn't have to be explained over and over...

I'm not sure the stat in the OP means much, but once the other side leaves the argument and takes refuge in the team accomplishments criticisms, you can officially consider the debate over and a victory as far as I'm concerned. Illogically trying to blur the lines and hoping nobody notices is not a strategy.

even thats pushing it. I am willing to bet there are at least 15 QBs right now who've made the playoffs at least ONCE since 2010.

And that's how you know who the best QB's are Ladies and Gentelman.

That's one of those " on first down, at home, with a north wind, playing against the NFC with a temp below 60 degrees" stats. But ok
