It's an impressive stat like many impressive stats he has but the truth it's a stat that would probably never come up on this board if Romo had a successful playoff record and a championship under his belt.

Yea I doubt Patriot fans are debating all of Tom Brady's stats. lol

Right ... Romo didn't throw those 3 int's against the Commanders in his last "win and in" game. He didn't meltdown and sink the whole team on prime time tv. He never plays a role in the team doing bad.

Every QB throws picks, even Peyton Manning in the SuperBowl. You have to look at the entire body of work, including a 4th down TD pass against the same Commander team last season to even make the last game meaningful.

I am surprised you cant grasp this concept................well, actually I am not considering your post history.

even thats pushing it. I am willing to bet there are at least 15 QBs right now who've made the playoffs at least ONCE since 2010.

The Ten Percenters at their finest. Put Russell Wilson, Eli Manning, Matt Ryan, Big Ben or Kurt Warner, all playoff winners, on the Cowboys with the offensive lines and defense we've had the last five years and they don't sniff a single playoff game let alone win.

Wait! My bad... Matty Ice has led TWO 13-3 teams to ZERO playoff wins.

I understand you guys have your opinions of Romo - but you have to be wore out from getting owned in every single Romo thread. If he wins a Siper Bowl I really don't know if you would be happy or mad as hell.

This is pure speculation. Facts are... Wilson, Eli, Big Ben, and Warner are Super Bowl winners. Romo has one playoff win and his time is just about up.

No, the fact is TEAMS win Superbowls. TEAMS win playoff games. Those QBs you named were part of TEAMS that accomplished those things. Using TEAM accomplishments to judge a quarterback's ability and competence is just plain dumb.

By your rationale Terry Bradshaw may as well be the greatest QB of all time, with Brad Johnson and Trent Dilfer being all time greats too. Them automatically being better than every QB who doesn't have a ring. Please.

Not placing all the blame on Romo...but at some point, Romo needs to help himself...

Has to be a better decision maker late in crucial games. It's just how it is.

His decision making is just fine. We haven't truly played a "crucial" game in almost five years now. Some of you really need to start paying attention and stop being ESPN parrots.

True...but Romo is the only one of these qbs who plays for a team run by a man whose incompetence is beyond question.

Where have you been? You might want to start paying attention the Cowboys played in two season finale elimination games with Romo in 2011 and 2012. You didn't consider those games "crucial?"

The last two games of last season were also those now oh-so-famous, Romo only category, win or go home games too. Though, I guess Romo only played in one of those (the win at Washington).

I just hope we get to play in more of them, and hopefully in the actual playoffs with a team actually capable causing some trouble.

I think we all want that, hopefully.

I'm sorry, but when there are black and white stipulations behind a game; such as if you win...you go to the playoffs, then I'd say it's pretty crucial.

This is coming from me as a fan; not from any ESPN brainwashing.

The only late season "crucial" game he played in last year, the win or go home Washington game, he threw a 4th down, game-winning TD pass for the win.
In fact, the Cowboys won the 5 most important games that he played in last year. 5-0 in the division...as a team....when he started.

Let's just hope it continues and gets better on both sides of the ball.

An all time NFL record is not superficial.

Yes It is, no one before today even knew about this being a record that shows you how superficial it is.

Any record that is an all time NFL record, for any and every QB that has ever played QB in the history of the game, is not superficial, ... just by definition alone if nothing else.

You may not have heard of this record, but others have, .. many others.

Of all of the QB's that have ever played in the NFL, nobody did this any better than Romo, .. not superficial.

Like I said in the OP, .. like him or not.

Like I said earlier Romo Is a top ten qb in my book but this is a superficial stat, again Aaron Brooks has the 3rd longest streak..... Aaron Brooks.
Lol at the "many others had heard of this record", man the stat was pulled from Wikipedia.

I agree, especially during those games like Denver from last year. Instead of Romo expecting the defense to bail him out, he should've threw for 600 yards and 6 tds. Romo didn't help himself out enough, he ended up with only 500 yards and 5 TDs, which is meh considering the opponent we played.
