and tell me how it has been exposed? Please give me things the defenses have done differently that have "exposed" the Cowboys offense.

I think I heard somewhere that Romo shreds zone defenses easily but that teams have not been playing it lately, and that is why he has been struggling. T.O., as well, when you do not jam him at the line of scrimmage, keep him from getting behind the defense, and put 2 or 3 dbs on him, can be effectively neutralized.

They won didn't they?

New England struggled vs Baltimore. You honestly think Baltimore is almost as good as New England?

Try again
The uber-pessimists hold Dallas to a standard that they do not hold to any other NFL team. A ludicrous notion, really.

Did you even see the Philly game? The second one, I mean.

And Carolina? Even when the Cowboys run the ball well, they struggle to win the game.

The Philly game we rightfully lost. The other ones you are complaining about a win. The year of the 1996 Super Bowl, I believe we had more "bad" wins than this year.

You think you heard somewhere?

Again, I reiterate that you have no idea what you are talking about.

we had a blast when he was winking at the other players.

laughing at the world around him.

it got tough for him recently and we've come to find while as great as romo is, he can't do it alone. as he goes, so does the team.

it's not as fun now is it? notice romo doesn't act like he did a month ago? hard to remember sometimes people grow up at their own pace vs. for our entertainment. for his 1st year, he's put the weight of the premier franchise on his shoulders and done phenominal.

yet we're not happy, are we? it's not enough.

we're not en elite team, but we can see it from here. we need to get romo a valid running game and despite bragging on our OL, it's got to help also. romo has made a lot of things look better, our OL included.

we're still close. we're still in this and have as good a shot as anyone but as we found out lately, nothing is a slam dunk.

we still gotta play the game.

we're a team on the verge of greatness and it's hard to be patient after a drought. but we'll get there. romo just has a little more growing up to do and we've got to get him some help to take that next step up we all want so much to take.
My gf is not tired of Romo's winking. She seems to think he is sexy or something. :bang2:

Argh. And to keep the peace, she wants me to let everyone know that the Steelers rule. :(

the pats game was meaningless too, wasn't it? they showed up.

It was far from meaningless to them. That's why Tom Brady and the rest of their starters played the entire game.

Tony Romo's last snap for us came early in the third quarter, at which point we were losing by 10. The Patriots were losing by 12 early in the third quarter to the Giants (who had nothing to play for but to be a spoiler).

Would you be saying the Patriots "showed up" if they had pulled Brady and Moss early in the third quarter, when they were trailing 28-16, and went on to lose 35-19?

There you go with the kool-aid again. Now you not even sure what you heard. I think I heard that if you jump off the empire state building the wind will carry you back up and you'll land on your feet, impressing all the chicks. I think I heard that there is a big kool-aid sale somewhere.

Apparently you have not read any of our posts. That or your reading comprehension is really poor.
CPonder said that if you put 2 or 3 guys on TO, Witten will be open as will Barber Crayton Glenn Hurd et al

No, the dumbest post ever is yours, because you think mine is dumb. Please, enlighten me as to why I am wrong.

Give me an argument using inductive reasoning that lends reason as to why this team is "bad".

I'm not trying to avoid the question. I just hate playing Captain Obvious.

You really shouldn't be. It's psychological. And those negative emotions should be left out of football (and left up to the Chicken Littles) when preparing for important games. The whole thing is, this game wasn't important for us--at all.

We're not showing our hand. That's all.

Precisely. Why show anything against a team you have a 50/50 chance of playing in 2 weeks. That would be dumb.

Statistically, yes, 50/50. But we have better odds if we play a "vanilla" game rather than bring our A game against a team that may play in the playoffs. Or if we don't show it to teams that we'll be playing in two weeks, it'll help us because they won't be watching any substantive film on us.

I like the way you think, a smart man.

Also, we have plenty of time for our team to regain it's confidence, since some people are worried that we lack it. Hopefully, in 2 weeks we are all healed up, and psyched up. Romo and Glenn will have had a good practice by then. TO will hopefully be back. And Romo will have his smile back ;)
