gotcha. i may have been guilty of jumping to conclusions like i wish people wouldn't do, so my bad if i did.

still learning. :)

yes, that is my main point. romo doesn't seem to be as happy as he used to be and my guess is it got rough and he's just doing all he can to deal with it. that had to take a toll and in the end, he'll learn and continue his improvement.

that's all.

Got me? How? LOL

Your main point "romo doesnt seem to be happy" - ok... so my response which I inititially posted was "he is being serious because the situation calls for it"

So now we understand each other....:beer2:
Happy New Years!

I'm always worried about a guy in a blind fold accidentally grabbing something that he shouldn't. :D

Solution: steer clear of THAT guy :laugh2:

:D Romo is in a no win situation here. If he would have look happy yesterday, people would have said: "What's the matter with him?"

he'll find himself there a lot as the cowboys qb. : )

again, not saying it's wrong bad or anything other than "to be expected".

we had a blast when he was winking at the other players.

laughing at the world around him.

it got tough for him recently and we've come to find while as great as romo is, he can't do it alone. as he goes, so does the team.

it's not as fun now is it? notice romo doesn't act like he did a month ago? hard to remember sometimes people grow up at their own pace vs. for our entertainment. for his 1st year, he's put the weight of the premier franchise on his shoulders and done phenominal.

yet we're not happy, are we? it's not enough.

we're not en elite team, but we can see it from here. we need to get romo a valid running game and despite bragging on our OL, it's got to help also. romo has made a lot of things look better, our OL included.

we're still close. we're still in this and have as good a shot as anyone but as we found out lately, nothing is a slam dunk.

we still gotta play the game.

we're a team on the verge of greatness and it's hard to be patient after a drought. but we'll get there. romo just has a little more growing up to do and we've got to get him some help to take that next step up we all want so much to take.

You've got to be kidding me. Geez....

After marinating on it one day, and finally talking to some of my Cowboys brethren here in the DC area, I came up with these final thoughts:
1. After the Green Bay game, zone blitzing and different pass rushers by the defense seemed to have disappeared (even against Detroit, Philly, and Carolina).
2. Yes, while we need to run more, we can't ignore missing our 15 TD monster on offense.
3. Even Romo said 'we were holding things back' just in case we meet one of these teams in the playoffs.
4. In the words of Mickey Spagnola, there is no reason to go crazy about the way the club finished. They still won a tough game at Carolina on the road. They will be fine!
That said, I'm back on track with my positive vibe, and look forward to continuing this magical season...i hope!

Time will tell, injury and poor play tarnished a sterling start but if they put it together in the playoffs all will be forgiven.

Luckily they built capital early so that the bye can enable them to rest tired legs and nurse some wounds back to serviceable health.

Romo needs to clear his head and heal, TO needs to make sure his muscles don't atrophy while he heals and everyone needs to be focused and on task.

Dallas has the talent and if healthy and disciplined with their execution they will win the conference.

first of all, i'm allowing myself to get sidetracked. i'm not as concerned about the pats, really. i'm just saying that tony is going through a rough time. i fully believe he'll get through it, it just takes time. that's all. so far things have been kinda a dream for him. save a bad hold on a snap and now some rough waters on the offense in a string of games at the end of the season.

in the end i do believe he'll be fine. he just doesn't seem to be having fun "now".

as for the rest, i get so tired of almost each thread becoming a "no, you're stupid!" "i'm not, you are!" thread that this has become. (not you adam, others in here)
Yes becuz THIS thread should be about how we go about getting McFadden! ;)

we knock the little wanker on the head, throw him in the back in a hybred mini van with 'STOP ADD' on the side while burt reynolds sings "if i were a rich man" on a street corner and gay octopus arm wrestle for the rights to advertise an energy drink

if we can get mcfadden, that can happen too.
