#1 option
This is why his back went out prematurely. Golf puts a tremendous amount of wear and tear on your body if you do it enough.
#1 option
If it comes down to playing for the Jets, the Bears or retiring, I can see him retiring. There's no way he's retiring this year.
It's all the same. There will be 19M of dead-money that hits the cap regardless of cut, trade, June 1st cut or retire. If Romo decided to retire how much would he count against the salary cap?
No way to know. Why does anyone think he would be good at color analyst?
That is why I found multiple offers to be a little silly.....do color analysts really bring viewers to a point that there would be a bidding warNo way to know.
I never thought Aikman could do it.
The networks like big names and they like Cowboys players. They'll probably take Romo over Ronde Barber even if Barber is better. That is why I found multiple offers to be a little silly.....do color analysts really bring viewers to a point that there would be a bidding war

I'm not sure three offers necessarily denotes a bidding war. It could just be three offers. That is why I found multiple offers to be a little silly.....do color analysts really bring viewers to a point that there would be a bidding war

The offers were probably offers for an interview "If you retire, call me and we might have something for you".
Al Michaels, the voice of NBC's Sunday Night Football, says he has never talked to Tony Romo about his interest in broadcasting. Still, Michaels believes the Cowboys' backup quarterback would make an ideal network analyst.
"If I was in the position to hire, he would be my No. 1 draft choice among active players," Michaels said in a telephone interview Tuesday.
"Even though he doesn't have the pedigree, people know Tony," Michaels said. "You sit with Tony Romo and you learn a lot of things about football."
Michaels has sat with Romo plenty of times. The Cowboys are a Sunday Night Football staple. Before almost every game, Michaels and his partner Cris Collinsworth have met with Romo. Michaels said Romo has exhibited knowledge of the game, a strong personality and a great sense of humor. All are necessities for an NFL analyst's chair, Michaels said.
How stupid would they look if they cut Romo and he leads Houston to a SB right up the street
Emmitt Smith sure wasn't.Some guys are made for the booth...
Emmitt Smith sure wasn't.
Who would hold Troy's pocket? How about Romo kicking Buck to Baseball?
Could you imagine the headlines if Romo did beat Brady in the playoffs???I need him to go to the AFC badly, texans or denver.
That way he can torch tom shady in the afc championship and I can quit hearing about tom this tom that.
It'll become "Tom got beat by the better QB"
Cant see it happening this year
They would deserve it.
Wouldn't be a better idea to stay with the Cowboys and collect the 14 million for next season?Fish on the Fan said the other day Romo has options. He said if he doesn't go to a contending team he will hang them up and head to the broadcast booth. Supposedly ESPN, Fox, and CBS all have offers on the table with CBS wanting him as the #1 team to pair with Nantz, which would mean Simms out. They also like the idea of pairing him with Nantz at the Masters, etc.
Just thought I would pass that along. Romo has the life.
