I think it may be Swanson or Wilcox.
Hey I like this Swanson !!!! He has something !!!! He can return punts and kickoffs !! He can make plays as a DB !!! And as John Madden would say "he's a football player "" !!!!!! That's keep this guy around a while !!!

Bkight13, if an injury occurs at another position most teams will release their 53rd or 52nd player to make room for a replacement. In Dallas, that would likely be Swanson, Wilcox, Rod or Keith Smith and possibly others before you get to Romo. Being able to get your franchise QB back sooner than expected allows for this tactic I believe. Dakota is promising but we don't know what he is yet. Worry about the guys lower on the roster instead of Romo's spot who I'm sure is somewhere in the top 10 on the roster.

You know this though bkight13...you generally are on point (meaning make points I agree with or agree with my points). What's going on brother? LOL!
Sorry I'm not a robot.....I look at things on a case by case basis....I am a Cowboy fan before a Romo fan or Dak fan or anyone else.....I would love if Romo comes back healthy Week 5 or sooner and he helps us win.....he is the best QB on the team when healthy.....I just don't trust Dr Jones and anything he says .... ''Putting Tony on the IR is like circumcising a mosquito" is not the informed response I was hoping for from my GM...... I have seen this movie before and JJones is always wrong and Romo will always fight to come back early.......he is too tough for his own good and will always have the mentality of an UDFA with something to prove......

Fair enough...we shall see how it pans out. You know where I stand on this debate though...

Everything you have ever said about other posters Judgy McJudgerton.......you are quick to point fingers and make baseless judgements about people without looking inward at your own bs......remember when you point your finger a someone else 3 more fingers are pointing back at you.....

.......drops mic

Sounds like I struck a nerve while your post resonated with just about nobody.

Only you would to quantify imagined internet reactions.....good luck with that....I hope they give out ribbons

Only think I can think of that would pertain to you was when I asked you whether or not you were a business owner when you were identifying with the Chargers regarding Bosa. Turns out my suspicion was right. I hardly 'judged' you for that and I didn't bring up psychology in that. Not sure what you think your point is.

You called me out. Nobody cared except moderators. Move on, holmes. If you have a bone to pick with me then get in line.

The guy will not have played competitive football in 1.5 years and will have practiced for only a week and this FO will rush him back ?

Sounds like the definition of short sighted
Some reports are saying he could start practicing in a week or two.

Why are people arguing as if they know something one way or the other. Now, that's silly!

The only thing we know is that Tony rushes back from injuries and can play thru pain, sometimes to his and our detriment

He's going to be back sooner than is being speculated in the press.

Maybe because this FO has a LONG history of making stupid and short sighted decisions?
Just a guess

People want time frames for their injuries. And then they want those time frames to be accurate.

But, yeah, I think most of us if we stopped to think about it understand that there's a lot of variance that comes into play.

The same thing applies to how many weeks he actually has to sit out. If he's out 3 weeks, he's not going to need much time to get back in the lineup, obviously. If he's out 8, it's a different story.

Going solely off of Tony's history of playing through things if they'll let him and the fact that they didn't IR him, I'm guessing (yes, guessing) that he's not going to be out from this as long as the random HCPs unfamiliar with the case who talked to ESPN/NFLN suggested he might.

The team has released almost zero information about the injury. They could literally say tomorrow that he has already healed and will start Game 2. People would be outraged, saying he's being rushed back... based on what? Guesses from Internet doctors who haven't seen a single X-Ray, scan, or MRI. Sure there have been some clues, such as Jerry's babbling and the assumption they were seriously considering putting him on IR (and not just being coy). Like it or not, the team holds almost all of the information on this situation.

Other than last years collarbone, when has Romo ever rushed back and reinjured himself?

He's played hurt a lot. Punctured lung, transverse fracture, broken throwing hand....he's Farve without the sturdy body.
