Romo will remain on active roster

Yeah, Mr. five more years....lol

I don't think you want to go down the road of who's right and who's wrong when it comes to Romo do we? I thought not. Now run along and figure out what team you'll cheer for when Romo makes it official and retires, oh wait, maybe he'll go to Canada and you can still cheer for him.
I sure wasn't in that 5 more year crowd. Not once.
Don't make crap up

Hope in one hand, s in the other. See which one fills up faster.

He's going to be back sooner than is being speculated in the press.

That is a straw man and you know it

If he it out on short IR he can play in game 7 against Philly and we have an extra roster spot until then

Are you saying Romo will be a full go to start before game 7? If not, we idiotically wasted a roster spot

Short term IR = miss 6 weeks before you can practice and 2 more weeks before you can play......the soonest he could play would be Week 9 Nov 6th against CLE

Week 8 is game 7 against philly

He wont play if he isnt healthy. Why are people calling Jerry stupid over this ? David Carr had same injury, came back to play in two weeks.

He will play less than 2 complete games all year...
Hey guys, I'm the biggest Romo fan. He hasn't played competitive competition in more than a year. What I remember he wasn't very sharp his last outing. Sure I prefer to have Romo under center. But he may not be the same QB for weeks after he do comeback. If we are winning I would not rush him back.

This tells me two things. Romo is closer to coming back than all of the speculations from the media and they're not as comfortable with the young Jedi as many are. If I am Garrett and the offensive coaching staff, after what they went through last season, and starting a rookie with Sanchez as the reliever, I wouldn't put Romo on IR either.

Or maybe they are saving the IR to return for Jaylon Smith?

It's well known they knew the CB was at risk when he returned last year. It was a move made in desperation to salvage the season. They knew the risks and it didn't work out.
yes but they were what 2-7 at the time, and no way romo would win all 7 left, the season was over when he came back.

It's not a straw man, it's just my suspicion.

And, yes, I think he's back before game 7.

I call them like a I see them.....Tony looked worry about his back and his future, it is only natural.......why else would he try to hobble back into a pre-season game.....you guys act like you have never been fighting for a spot on a roster, it is cut throat....but I never once said I wanted Dak over a healthy Romo....Romo has always been our best chance to go deep in the playoffs.....I love Romo but he has a broken back, not a hangnail........you guys are the ones that can't have a realistic conversation about Romo without getting over-sensitive..... he was injured with enough force to crack a vertebrae, I can guarantee the discs all didn't survive unscathed....and I had surgery to correct a herniated disc in the L5-S1 region.....it doesn't get better with more time and hits

again you don't understand what I am saying....... anyone that has ever played on a competitive team sport knows that someone is always gunning for your spot......Tony is just being super-sensitive like Favre, Peyton and Brady........they never come out because they never want to give their competition a chance to shine.... it is why guys try to hide concussions......coaches will replace you if you can't contribute.......'can't make the club from the tub'........Romo isn't in any immediate danger but he is 36 with a history of injuries

Nice baseless psychobabble. I love story time.

He went into the game with punctured lungs, cracked ribs, etc without your fantasy scenario even being possible. Kinda belies your narrative a bit.

Stupid idea, this is all Jerry....

Looks to me like they're planning on rushing Romo back if Dak runs into trouble. As the same token, I'm betting Romo doesn't object to that idea. Jerry doesn't display indications of being overly concerned with player safety, while Tony is perfectly willing to oblige putting himself at risk, OTOH. That's a pretty dangerous combination when you think about it.

Romo will come back too soon and get hurt again. Book it. Thank god we drafted Dak.

The guy will not have played competitive football in 1.5 years and will have practiced for only a week and this FO will rush him back ?

Sounds like the definition of short sighted

They didn't feel that way (and considering they were 1 game out with about 4 to go, they shouldn't have).
