Romo's Mexican Getaway EXPOSED!

Can I just say this...

He's in Mexico which is like driving up to the coast if you are in CA or driving upstate if you are in NY or driving up to Chicago if you are in the midwest..etc.

He's not in London for a week here people. He's in Mexico with a teammate and his GF for two days relaxing.

This thread sucks.

You obviously don't like in NY. Why the hell would I drive UPSTATE to get away?

The problem is not what he did or is doing in Mexico. The problem is the perception a lot of people have about his trip down there. If this affects his game then obviously a lot of people will be upset The problem is it is nearly impossible to pinpoint a possible bad game (God forbid!) next week with this trip.

If he does have a bad game, then people will point fingers regardless. Therefore it is best to avoid certain scenarios for people to finger point. I think it would have been best to avoid this until after the post season because at that point you are off the radar so to speak with the fans. But it is his life. This entire league is supported by the fans. Randy Moss wasn't brought here because of issues along with other players for other teams. A lot of it isnt about talent but perception. If Tony starts to look like he is losing focus, then its perfectly natural to assume his personal antics during the season will make people wonder and I dont see the problem with that when you are making millions upon millions.
What QB do you think we should get in the first round to replace him? Dang Browns, we could have had Brady Quinn.

:nervous:

[/sarcasm off]

I guess he could've stayed home and risked getting shot in his bedroom.

Congratulations, you win the "No Taste" award of the day.

Whatever Hostile.

If the guy does indeed "party" too much and loses focus, Id rather have any number of other QBs. Just because he got us this far doesn't mean anything if he loses it towards the end of the season.

Tell me your solution, then criticize. If you don't have one, that's fine too. You just said you'd rather have anyone else. Name your poison.

Your statement is certainly food for thought. I would like to keep the one we have and pray that he would develope character that would see him through Dec. Win or lose. I feel he cheats Jerry Jones, Wade Phillips, the team and the fans when he lets down just because he can. (Or just because there happens to be a girl up stairs.) It don't seem professional or respectful to the above named.

Bull. I'm a fan and I don't feel the least bit disrespected because he has a life away from game days.

So now Romo has questionable character because he took a quick trip?

Geez, the overreaction on this board is crazy.

I know some people on this board have played sports before. No way, they could tell me, they led the life of a monk just before a crucial game.

Just saying, athletes are human too and contrary to popular belief, they need to get away from the grind sometimes...just like regular folks.
