Homer post of the day:rolleyes:

Why? Because Duncan operates near the low block, and having Rasheed alongside Duncan would mean Wallace could play the high post/drift out to the perimeter, like he prefers too.

Yeah.

Homer, indeed.

Gawd dude get off my nuts. And your entirely wrong. Stop trying to act like you know basketball. Like Garnett and Perkins don't go in the low block? Garnett is one of the best low post passers. I could easily see Rasheed playing at the same time as Garnett and Perkins when Peirce gets a blow. He can play the 3 position.

haha, id love to see rasheed guard lebron, vince carter, richard jefferson or ron artest, you keep proving yourself to be ignorant on all things basketball, again the pot calling the kettle black.

ps garnett plays a high post not the low post, he isnt tim duncan or shaq, thats not his game. he is best at a slight distance from the rim making mid range jumpers, shows how much you know. Defensively he can guard people down low thats a different story

Garnett plays low during a game plenty of times. And if you actually read I said that he can play the 3 sometimes when giving Peirce a blow or during certain times during a game. No where did i say he would be playing there for a long period of time. He'll be in for Garnett also where Perkins can dish it out of the low post also.

you get a FAIL. Congrats.

Exactly.

Only a complete homer would try and compare Garnett to freakin Tim Duncan.

No one did.

you did by saying that they both play down low. garnett doesnt play down low, garnett is a high post guy, he doesnt play the same as tim duncan and is closer in game to rasheed that duncan, hence why i said he would fit in better with tim than garnett.

way to earn that orlando scandrick award

Please find where I said Garnett would be a better fit for Rasheed then Tim Duncan would. If anything I said it's a wash and responded to your usual homer pick of Duncan being a better fit. It's wishful thinking on your part and I rebuttled saying it's not much of a difference.

Wallace commits to Celtics
Email|Link|Comments (14) Posted by Marc J. Spears, Globe Staff July 5, 2009 08:13 PM

An NBA source said tonight forward Rasheed Wallace has committed to sign with the Celtics Wednesday, the first day free agents are eligible to sign.

"Once (Wallace) had a chance to reflect on everything, and realizing what his objectives are, he just decided this was the best fit for him, all the way around," said Bill Strickland, Wallace's agent.

Wallace is expected to receive a two-year deal using the mid-level exception (expected to be about $5.6 million to $5.8 million).

The Celtics All-Star trio of Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce, owner Wyc Grousbeck, coach Doc Rivers, and president Danny Ainge met with Wallace last week. Wallace turned down overtures from Orlando and San Antonio to commit to Boston.

The Celtics also have interest in Suns free agent forward Grant Hill. Despite a Fanhouse report that Rivers was to meet with Hill today in Orlando, its uncertain if he did and Rivers declined comment. All Boston can offer is the $1.9 million bi-annual exception.

I do agree with you, Sheed would have been a lot better fit in SA with Tim down low. Any person with any basketball knowledge would know that Garnett mostly plays high post A TON more than he does on the blocks.

ive actually heard a rumor on a spurs forum (no link to it just hearsay at this point) that the spurs might try to sign big baby! I wouldnt mind picking him up along with powe for the second half of next year when he recovers!

another rumor is that TAU Ceramica (spanish team) is pretty close to losing their biggest sponsor and might not be able to afford to keep tiago splitter!! that would be amazing to me if he was able to get out of his contract for cheaper than the buyout and come to the spurs next year!

either way you look at it we need a lot of front court help for timmy
