Not really. They just lost Jay Ratliff(Ariza) and Roy L Williams(Odom) for Chad Ocho Cinco.(Artest)

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Can you point me to a link that says Odom was lost? Thanks.

That all said, I know you're just saying so now because the force of hate is strong with you. :) However, if we don't sign Odom it won't be a bad thing at all. That leaves room for others to step up. If Odom wants any more titles he'll stay with the Purp & Gold. ;) I don't think he wants to get Arizafied... lol. That's what Ariza gets for letting his agent blow his head up. Now he's a 1 or 2 option on a sorry *** team. :laugh2:

:laugh2: Point me to the link where he's signed with the Lakers. I'm actually closer to the truth. Contract talks are far apart between Mitch and Odom. Portland is going hard after Odom after they got rolled by Turk. They have the cap room and will probably trade Rudy Fernandez for a PG.

Blazers with Odom>>>>>>>Lakers with Artest minus Ariza and Odom.

Actually they are going after Milsap.

Lamar picked the worst year ever to be UFA. No good teams with cap space. Plus the most Portland can offer him is around 7 million a year, which is less than what the Lakers are offering. Rumor is he wants a 5 year deal, and the Lakers are only offering 3.

I just read that is wrong too. Because of the drop in salary it is around 8.75 to 9. Not that it matters, according to the Portland boards Milsap is a done deal.

Ya from what I've heard Portland isn't really pursuing him very hard but who knows. If I had to guess I'd say he will end up back in LA for less than they had originally offered

Artest was their #1 option and he's sporting purp & gold now. :) Yao is done.

Tracy is an injury waiting to happen. Houston is in troubleeeeee.

Slate, Odom will resign with the newly developing dynasty. Watch & weep. ;)

I would be surprised if Odom left as well. To me, the power in the NBA resides in L.A. and Boston right now. Everybody else is struggling to catch up. Man, I can't wait for the season to start again. I love it when L.A. and Boston are going at it. Just makes all things NBA better IMO.

:)

You really think Artest was their #1 option? To put this in perspective, in the playoffs, Aaron Brooks had a higher ppg average and Luis Scola was just under, so no, Artest wasn't their #1 option. Matter of fact, I doubt the team will miss him that much. I wish him the best, but I wasn't impressed with his tenure in Houston.

Yao being out is more of an issue than Tracy. Houston needs a center, two of them, in the worst way.

ron artest really wasnt the first option on that team, they arent gonna miss his scoring and his defence can be at least partially replaced by shane battier.

Having said that i still think they downgraded with ariza, at least for the next couple of years.

as for the lakers being a "dynasty"? get over yourself, they are gonna have a tought time winning it again, its not a sure thing they are even gonna win the west, the spurs have gotten a lot better and denver and portland will have another year of experience to build on. plus the east is very top heavy.

in all reality i think there are really only 5 teams that can realistically win it all next year (cavs, celtics, magic, lakers and spurs)

So you're comfortable going into next season knowing Aaron Brooks... Luis Scola.. and Ariza are your big three? Yikes. You had better pray that Yao can make it back. The prognosis wasn't very good a few weeks ago. Thanks for wishing Ron well too. We'll take good care of him. ;)

Oh, I'm not comfortable at all with that lineup, but what can you do? Just going by numbers, Ariza wasn't an upgrade. He's young, so maybe he can grow into that production. I'm sure that's what Houston is hoping.

As for Yao and Tracy, I've written both of them off for next season. Pretty much resigned to being a young, but hard-nosed team who will give alot of teams the blues, but not really go anywhere.

*shrug* on Artest. I wasn't that big of a fan of him before the Rockets. So no big deal to me where he went after the season. Good luck with him.
