Root like crazy for the Bears tonight!

Against a poor passing team and a team that can't protect its quarterback.

Atlanta, New Orleans, Green Bay, Minnesota, Philly......those are different animals.

True, but it's Stephen 'we like what we have' Jones we're talking about here.

Woods is awful. Just leave Frazier in.

Well it's good to have him for depth and he can cover in the slot.

His size at that position does worry me, however.

Yep. Stephen likes to go dumpster diving. You can't the boy out of Arkansas, but you can't take the Arkansas out of the boy.

Yeah I'm happy enough with this defense right now to avoid giving away a draft pick for ET at this point. Sign him in the off-season? Abso-freakin-lutely.
I would think different if he were younger.

Now rooting for Seattle because I don't want to give up a premium draft pick for a guy who we will be his first choice in free agency in 10 months.

Now if you think this team is 1 player away from a championship please raise your hand so I can have salt available in the future as I read your posts.

A loss tonight in Chicago followed by a Cowboys win Sunday....and the price for Earl Thomas could go down.

Seattle is similar to the Giants. Bad offensive line with a defense that has taken some steps backward. The difference is that Russell Wilson can run for his life, while Eli can not. The Cowboys have an excellent chance to win in similar fashion on Sunday to what we saw last night.

An 0-3 start for Seattle pretty much ends their season already. Thomas then becomes a commodity they have to shed by Week 6 and the trading deadline. Risking getting him injured after the Cowboys game would be foolish and arrogant. Not to mention, teams aren't going to pay as much for 10 games as they would 13.

Chicago can play defense, as we saw last night, so if they can pull this out tonight, that will only help Dallas' cause.

Add Earl Thomas to the back end of what we're seeing, with Heath and Frazier as the strong safety duo and Woods backing up and learning from ET.....

That would make for a truly dominant defense, especially with Gregory and Irving back in the fold.

Go Bears.
eh, I cant see a trade hinging on the outcome of one game. To me I will root for the Seahawks because we play them next week and I always prefer to play a team coming off a win. More often then not a team coming off of a loss will be more focused on winning (like we were yesterday) so I want Seattle to be more complacent next Sunday.

ET and a better 1-Tech would make us a Top 3 defense. Tain’t gonna happen...

Well, I think we'll have the money to get both ET and Suh if we want to go that route next offseason. I think that'd be the right move.

If they're 0-3, their season is over, and he's of no use to them. They're rebuilding, and he's not part of the plan other than beefing up their draft.

They've drafted horribly in recent years. They need more picks to try and make up for it.

The trade deadline is looming. They don't need to take the risk of injury and losing his value altogether.

However, teams know this and won't offer much. Unless, of course, there's a bidding war. However, most teams have needs in other areas and won't jump into the fray. Injury could change that of course.

He could be had for much less if they're cornered.

Go Bears.

Personally I’d prefer to draft a 1-Tech early than bring in Suh...

Yeah, if we're in that position, but you can see where my mind is. If we can get a monster DT like Suh or the chap from UH and ET, that gives us arguably one of the deadliest defences in the league.

Count me out on the Earl Thomas Forum-a-Thon unless he can play WR or TE. Our more than obvious need is going to get more obvious as the season goes on.

The challenge is bringing a skill position player in now would be uphill while sliding a FS into this system would be a lot easier.

Ya know the irony of ironies? Thomas gets the game winning pick this Sunday. Wouldn't that Linda Blair our heads? And I'm betting quite a few could match that green on the Seahawks unis.

so you rather playa desperate pissed off team? id rather them win and come in over confident vs upset and playing desperate..seriously did you think this through before posting..?

Well, I think our WRs will be fine as they and Dak get better accustomed with each other. I'm thinking that, with our defence becoming a strength of the team, why not build that further? Especially since a solid defence is critical for postseason success.

Oh yeah, preaching to the choir mane...

I think I am back on Earl Thomas bandwagen. Dallas D looks like it could be special. I think Chido is already top flight cover guy. LBs are deep now (even when Lee leaves field). Pass rush is dynamic. Add: Irving & Wood and they have serious depth. Btw: I think Frazier is playing lights out. You add Earl Thomas and this becomes best Defense in division. Then it just comes down to getting Fredrick back and Dak getting onto a decent rhythm.
