Well, I think our WRs will be fine as they and Dak get better accustomed with each other. I'm thinking that, with our defence becoming a strength of the team, why not build that further? Especially since a solid defence is critical for postseason success.
I don't think this offense is good enough to get to the postseason.

I dunno about that, but I'm more referring to next year. I'm not wanting to surrender a draft pick. I am wanting to take advantage of the cap space that we'll have next year by signing ET and a player like Suh next offseason.

Nope, need Seattle to win. It will be an even tougher tasking going into their home opener if they sit at 0-2.
If they're 0-2 and the Cowboys can get the lead, that crowd will not be a factor. Word is Carroll is not the most popular guy in town and they could just turn on him.

Besides that, I don't buy that they will be any different at 1-1 or 0-2. The team is the team and players are players and they don't all of the sudden find another gear at 0-2. However, 0-2 creates a little doubt with the game on the line, should that happen.

I don't think they play us any differently because of the record. I am pulling for Da Bears because I do not see them as a challenge for a WC, if we're in the fight for that. At this point, I see SEA in that second tier on the outside looking in like us and the teams in the South.

I'm not convinced we have the offense to achieve postseason success this season, no matter the strength of our defense. So I'm not giving up any picks for a guy we could sign next season as a free agent - we'll need the picks for offense.

Now if you think this team is 1 player away from a championship please raise your hand so I can have salt available in the future as I read your posts.

Agreed. After watching Dak for two weeks I don’t see this as a championship team. Playoffs maybe. Why lose a premium pick when it can’t fix what ails us.

I agree, and I clarified the next post below that.

The defense has been the best thing on the field. Frazier has missed a few tackles, but Woods will be back soon. Not sure why we're thinking we need to throw money at a unit that's performing well. Sure, Thomas is an upgrade, but doesn't seem necessary.

Wilson can run but they do not have any weapons like Saquon or ODB.

Hopefully the Bears beat them and then we smother them again.
My thoughts exactly. Spy Wilson, if he runs, bust him up. The rest SHOULD fall into place.

If they got one, I'm not understanding why people still think they need one.

Guess we dont since we have one just hope he doesn't get hurt. Can never have enough big uglies to go around. One injury and we are back to square one again.

Count me out on the Earl Thomas Forum-a-Thon unless he can play WR or TE. Our more than obvious need is going to get more obvious as the season goes on.

The challenge is bringing a skill position player in now would be uphill while sliding a FS into this system would be a lot easier.

Ya know the irony of ironies? Thomas gets the game winning pick this Sunday. Wouldn't that Linda Blair our heads? And I'm betting quite a few could match that green on the Seahawks unis.

ET is worth 3-7 points less for the opponent per game. He doesn't drop interceptions. He knows where to be and when.

He makes this very good defense a truly elite one. More like the defense he used to play for in Seattle.
