Well you have to image Seattle would drop their price to a second rounder. We would drop our offer to a 3rd. Seattle probably won't take it.

It would be nice to have ET for a 3rd, but I don't see it happening.

Woods should be playing by week 4.

I doubt it. A busted season and no contract with ET? Give them a 3rd and call it a day. They would be getting their comp pick early if he had stayed.

You guys say Dak and the offense sucks and we can’t make the playoffs. Now you want to trade for ET this year even though they’re not going anywhere? Might as well wait until after the season based on your logic.

I dont think they will take a 3rd since they wouldn't take a 2nd at the beginning of the season.

They got greedy with wanting a first.

If they're 0-3, their season is over, and he's of no use to them. They're rebuilding, and he's not part of the plan other than beefing up their draft.

They've drafted horribly in recent years. They need more picks to try and make up for it.

The trade deadline is looming. They don't need to take the risk of injury and losing his value altogether.

However, teams know this and won't offer much. Unless, of course, there's a bidding war. However, most teams have needs in other areas and won't jump into the fray. Injury could change that of course.

He could be had for much less if they're cornered.

Go Bears.
I get your angle but my bigger concern is if Seattle goes 0-2 then next Sunday their season is on the line to beat us avoiding 0-3.

I think if they win tonight there’s not as much pressure on them to win next Sunday. We could catch them relaxing after avoiding 0-2 and the typical short week after playing Mon nite.

And our defense is playing well. I don’t see Stephen thinking we need to make such a move spending the resources.

I think it’s more likely we go after a reciever.

Seriously? Have you all not seen the defense thus far? We don’t need no stinking Earl Thomas unless he is running routes or blocking or throwing seam routes

It’s the offense that needs the boost not the other side

Woods is awful. Just leave Frazier in.

Not sure Woods is awful, by noone can complain with the work Frazier is putting in.

This D as a whole is straight nasty as is. I'd like Thomas here but if we don't get him I'm ok with it at this point.

I’m off the ET bus. We need to spend on the offense. Would like Bears to win though.

I understand you're thinking, but I think taking this defense up another level is much easier accomplished than fixing the offense.

Kevon is garbage as far as I can see. His tackling is atrocious. We need an upgrade there. Hopefully Woods comes back soon.

What games are you watching? Frazier looks pathetic. He whiffs on tackle after tackle. He sucked yesterday.

Tough to argue when we're playing well early and have Woods coming back. I'm all over ET in the offseason, though.

Ya know, I understand the gist of the thread having to do with getting Thomas, which I do not think is going to happen, but I don't care about this game tonight and it's affect on our game with SEA; They're banged up already with 2 starting very good LB's out and Baldwin, a very fine WR. I don't want them to lose any more players because I want them at full strength when we play them.

I've never gotten some getting giddy when they learned a key player was out, want a win that bad? Damn, I'd stop watching if that was part of it. I want our best against their best and the better playing team to win the game because I love the game and I want the best against the best.

Yep, if he's affordable. We've yet to see how these Safety's will pan out but with some players up in the off season and maybe some needs for FA's, there might be better fits. We've got our own players to decide on before he becomes a consideration.

I wish I could get past how he's handled himself through all of this beginning with last season in Dallas but I just don't like him. He defines selfish mercenary to me.

LOL. Maybe you missed the sack and forced fumble. I know it wasn't a key moment in the game.

True he was getting abused by Beckham who had a career day yesterday.

Get a clue dude.

Our safeties suck, but the defense overall is playing well enough that I don't think we desperately need ET right now, and the offense ensures that we're not going anywhere in January either. I am off the ET bandwagon unless Seattle offers me a screaming deal.

After watching these Tight Ends the last few weeks, safety is a complete afterthought at this point.

I'll wait until Earl is cheaper or just go without.

Count me out on the Earl Thomas Forum-a-Thon unless he can play WR or TE. Our more than obvious need is going to get more obvious as the season goes on.

The challenge is bringing a skill position player in now would be uphill while sliding a FS into this system would be a lot easier.

Ya know the irony of ironies? Thomas gets the game winning pick this Sunday. Wouldn't that Linda Blair our heads? And I'm betting quite a few could match that green on the Seahawks unis.
yeah coach, we know him he goes by the name of Murpy's Law. Though I got a feeling Sheriff Brody will show up just in time to save Daks day. ;)
